There's not a lot of info out there about the change in intake manifold design for the 2015 v6 save for the supposed need to reduce height for the new hoodline. This has been bugging me but it seems as if the 15 should flow better yet we are back 5hp from the earlier 3.7s. Anyone have any thoughts?

I would love to see back to back pulls between bone stock 14's and 15 V6's... Wonder if the new mani actually took away 5hp or if Ford just underrated it to make the eco look better...

I figured the new manifold was more restrictive and that (at least in part) contributed to the lower output. After all, it has to fit into a tighter space (lower hood). It would not surprise me if it was also underrated to make the EB look a little better, but I don't know enough to look at it and say one way or the other.

When a few more of them get out there, I bet we'll see some tests that either validate or put to rest the conspiracy theories.
