I got a VIN on my second order -- the one I ordered a week ago Saturday, October 17. It went into COTUS on October 21 and got a VIN October 23. The first order I placed back in June (which is still showing up in COTUS) still doesn't have a VIN.

Long story short, there was absolutely NO benefit to ordering months early and then waiting and waiting and waiting. I got a VIN in just a few days by going to a bigger dealership. Ford's assignment system is... not right, in my opinion.
