Have you tried detaching the glove box door (right side)? Detaching it and dropping it down gives you more room along with opening the drivers manual compartment. You need to learn to detach the glove box door anyway to change the cabin air filter.

I opened the upper door and used tweezers on my glove box light ,popped the sucker right out. Maybe I got lucky:shrug: worth a shot if you're struggling.

mine was easy. i opened the manual door thats in the glove box used a very small flat head screw driver popped the old one out. then carefully lined the new one up and with a little force it went right in.
