Agreed, 0-60 is a fun thing to boast about or try.... but its not really a true measure of performance.

A diesel Golf with a remap can do 5s as well.

100-200kph (60-120mph) is a much, much better metric. Once you start really touring with these cars ( especially in Germany ;) ), the 60-120 dash is something that you use a lot.

This is my car in this video. The Focus is better to 60mph, but my GT will do 60-120mph in about 9s. The Focus takes 13-14s. I.e. on a decent motorway pull, the RS wouldnt see which way a GT went. :)

Also look at how much 'effort' it takes for the RS to accelerate above 200..... and then watch how easy the GT makes it look.

Or you know, Tesla and ludicrous mode and annihilate everything. (Including the battery*).

Think if I shifted my gears to a .73 I'd run faster to 60, however, also think if I did that I'd lose my "roll speed" which kicks up a storm when overtaking people on the A roads.

Anyway, i'll run and get some pictures, if I get south of 5.5 i'll probably be happy lol. Will probably run into the typical Ecoboost issue of heat soak after 1 or 2 0-60's.

I'll go to my private road as well and run a 0-100 and get the times as well, expect some pics.

As the owner of both of these cars I can assure you this is inaccurate. The Mustang cannot move at all because its stuck in the dealership waiting for a new door and the RS is just over 500 miles so cannot be revved over 4000rpm.:lol::lol::lol:

Hopefully one day I can prove the facts above for myself.. if they don't force me to give back the mustang...

Badass times Enoch.
Do you launch using the brake, or even the handbrake?
I have PS3's and got a 4.6 within them.
Left foot on brake...release and simultaneously mash the right pedal to the floor:)

You got the wrong car then buddy. ;)

Seriously Mustang, big girl, big lazy V8, she is a cruiser and her strength is on a roll acceleration, 60-130mph is glorious in these cars performance wise and the noise is intoxicating.

But 0-60, hell a BMW diesel can go faster. :eyebulge:
Gibbo, you and i will do 0-60's when we're pished next friday night.

Same here, Enoch. I can't see it doing any damage as it does a line lock which is at more force.

Muhahahaha, I've heard that two Stangs trying to touch each other is unfortunately not a beautiful thing. :D

But I like the idea of being pished on Friday night.

Kev, if only you'd been with us on the NC500 last year. You would probably have out-Kyled "harmless" Kyle fae Kinlochbervie, the p*ssed-up nutjob in the fifty quid beemer with nae brakes.

Get George to tell you the story ;)
