Agreed, 0-60 is a fun thing to boast about or try.... but its not really a true measure of performance.
A diesel Golf with a remap can do 5s as well.
100-200kph (60-120mph) is a much, much better metric. Once you start really touring with these cars ( especially in Germany ;) ), the 60-120 dash is something that you use a lot.
This is my car in this video. The Focus is better to 60mph, but my GT will do 60-120mph in about 9s. The Focus takes 13-14s. I.e. on a decent motorway pull, the RS wouldnt see which way a GT went.
Also look at how much 'effort' it takes for the RS to accelerate above 200..... and then watch how easy the GT makes it look.
