I know a lot of you guys don't rate the Dreamscience iMap but just thought in case anyone doesn't want a custom tune, and wants something more plug and play, if you use the code imap2018 there's £50 off their stratagem iMap.

I think that's cheaper than buying an SCT x4 from Steeda, and by all accounts it's the same map?

No affiliation with Dreamscience, and I haven't mapped my car (yet) but thought I'd pass on the information to help any owners considering one out :D

Dreamscience use the SCT canned maps for the Mustang, they work fine, good torque boost and will put your around 440HP.

A dramatic difference over stock as throttle is made more sensitive and torque limiters are reduced.

Having tried SCT, Dreamscience, JDM, Lund, PBD, AED I can say I have more experience than anyone here with all the different tuners, I tried them all because I am crazy like that.

If your car is an automatic then you will really struggle to find better than AED, Shaun the owner tunes every car himself personally and he really knows his stuff. You also pay more as he charges around $400 for a tune and at times he can have a bit of an attitude on him which is a shame because yes he is super talented but no need for the EGO.

Lund which is the forum favourite are very good, I'd recommend anyone with a supercharger, Roush or Whipple to go with Lund, they totally have that setup truly dialled in and they are normally very accommodating.

If your looking for an NA tune and truly want a proper custom tune that is written to your exact specifications and fine tuned perfectly then go with Palm Beach Dyno, if your NA ask for Trevor and if your super charged ask for Ken. Trevor got my bone stock car, stock CAI pushing 460HP crank and did around 7 tune revision to get it perfected.

Dreamscience/SCT are canned tunes, you get what your given, its a great boost but there is no fine tuning, no ability to tune to different intakes think they only support stock and JLT for example.

JDM is based on SCT but more fine tuned but results are similar.

If your GT 350 intake with automatic, go with AED.

If your Roush or Whipple go with Lund.

If your NA and truly want the best drive ability, best power and just incredible customer service go with Palm Beach Dyno, even better its only $200 plus your USA SCT X4 handheld which you can grab from ebay for around £250.

Gibbo205 - as usual a total wealth of information, and I'm sure we all appreciate the time taken to write all this stuff down for the UK audience, even when you're no longer a Mustang owner :D

Anyone know what the dreamsience/SCT canned tunes are like for an auto? I thought I’d read somewhere that it can make the shifts a bit clunky.

Line pressure is increased resulting in a firmer shift, if anything it can be annoying and they won't adjust it for you as its a canned tune.

Your better of with a custom tune then if you don't like gearbox strategy you can request to put it back too stock. I found PBD the most accommodating with getting certain aspects of the tune back to bone stock whilst still getting the extra power.

As said before, but why are you trying to move away from Lund?
Gas pedal over sensitive or something else?

for me its because there's a hesitation they don't seem to be able to fix that isn't there on factory map. like if you're crawling in traffic in 2nd then you boot it as traffic has cleared or something the revs drop right off almost as if its about to stall then it picks up with a jerk I can live with it but is annoying as hell
