I really want to change out the tweeters from my base 16 as I have heard from many others that even without a amp just changing the tweeters will make a noticeable difference in clarity. My only issue is I don’t want to cut any wires apart. I saw this metra harness but I don’t know if this is for the tweeter oem plug as the mid speakers have a much bigger connection. The model is metra 72-5600. (Sorry for the massive picture size)

Not sure on the metra plugs if they fit.
Here are the correct parts from mouser electronics. You will have to crimp them yourself.

Mouser part # 31067-1010, #31067-1040...and the pins are 571-1393366-1 and 571-1438299-4.

Or... just cut the wires. Because it will not ever be noticed afterward. Man up. :)

I don’t want to do anything that involves cutting wires and stuff like that until my warranty expires. I don’t want something to mess up and not know how to fix it. I am new to doing car stuff. I am also insanely clumsy so I could mess up even the most simple things

Been there, but... get a package of red-color wire disconnects (red color is the right size for factory speaker wiring), wire stripper, and your new tweeters. Wire a male quick connect to the + on the factory wire, female on + of new tweeter wire. Wire a female quick connect on the - factory wire and male on the - of the new tweeter wire. Be sure to leave some wire on the factory tweeter, and add quick connect the same way you did to the new tweeter wiring so that if you want to put it back, you can just swap connections. Bada bing, bada boom! :)

Here is how I did it:
The stock tweeter has the connector attached to the back of the magnet.
Carefully remove it and connect it to the new tweeter wires.
You now have a factory connection.

Why hack it up,just order the proper part number connectors I just posted.
You need the female plug with the male pins.
You can buy a cheap crimper on ebay for like $20 as you are only crimping 4 wires.

How do you remove the center grill and speaker?

Thank you. I was referring to the single center speaker in dash. Any ideas?

Just find any video dealing with a Sync 3 swap and that will get you where you need to be to remove the center channel speaker. TL: DR version- remove the dash trim(silver trim with the center ac vents) starting from the passenger side, it just pops off. If you have the performance pack, make sure to disconnect the gauges. Once that part is off you should be able to pop the cover off that covers the center speaker and GPS antenna. Keep in mind that you may lose/break some of the blue plastic clips but as long as you are careful they are pretty sturdy and should snap back into place.

Sweet. Thank you. Any idea on where to acquire additional plastic clips?
