Went to the 1st day of the National MCA Show today.

I know it get's old..."S550 IS SO MUCH BETTER IN PERSON". I was very skeptical I could be blown away after looking at a ((Gazillion)) pictures over the last few months.

Spoke with the guy who brought the LE from Dearborn.
Informed him I had ordered a LE in WW, just like the beauty sitting in front of us. Asked him if I could sit in it for a few minutes to see how the seats felt. He said, come back at 5:00pm when the show is closing and he would let me then.

I showed up at 5:00. Got to sit behind the wheel. The thing that jumped out to me, was how fantastic the fit & finish of "ALL" the interior looked. The stitching, the feel of the seats & overall appearance was above par, for a car in this price range...I even liked the overhead plastic that so many complain about. The seats are just about perfect, they feel soft & cushiony with just the right amount of firmness. The bolsters reminded me of the Recaro's in my previous 12 BOSS. For a daily driver these are the seats to have, IMO.

Then he surprises me-->:shocked:

He informed me he had to put the car back in the enclosed trailer for the night, & would I like a ride to the trailer and help him put it away for the night...:bolt:

He fires up the car, revs it up several times for the crowd and yours truly, What a "RUSH" it gave me + the Crowd (could tell by the expressions on faces)

The sound of the exhaust was pure music to my ears. We traveled down a row of Mustangs of every version & year imaginable with their owners all stopping what they were doing and starring at us, as we slowly moved on, he would push the clutch in, Rev the engine, giving everyone a listen to the exhaust note as we rode along.

We work our way over to another section, not too many cars around. W/O warning, he Nails it, planting my body into the seat like a space shuttle at take off, reminded me of my Boss and how much fun 3:73s are.

I felt like a kid on Christmas Morning-->:thumbsup:

If I wasn't already convinced of purchasing the S550, this would've been the "Take My Money Now & Give Me The Key-Fob" part of the dance.

Well, I said it was a short ride, but it was Fabulous-->Now the wait is gonna be even tougher because I know it's the car for me-->Thanks-->:ford:

Lucky guy! I know the wait will be tougher, but at least you got to reaffirm your decision way ahead of time.

Man, I can't wait until some of the full blown reviews start hitting in the coming weeks. Ironically, we've had more exposure to the (as yet unannounced) GT350 going flat out than we have the GT. I'm looking forward to seeing it put through its paces, and of course eventually driving one myself.

The Wimbledon White 50th Limited Edition is The PERFECT 2015 Mustang to Me. Yeah I Hate the Coral and Faux Gas Cap, but there is just Something Magical about this Car.

It's that Rich, Creamy White Paint, like French Vanilla Ice Cream

Those Wheels...

Those Louvered Glass Quarter Windows...

With That Chrome Window Trim...

And Did I Mention Those Wheels and Windows?

Ugh... I have a LE on order and I've been backtracking a bit because of the thought of what I could do with that money instead. But this thread is pushing me toward it again. Such a beautiful car...

I hope the exhaust does sound like Greenwood.

Husker, did the one you sat in have an official serial number on the dash?

I feel this has been pretty much confirmed unless all the videos we have seen are wrong...
I've heard the videos but all I remember is everyone arguing saying that Ford modified the exhaust for Goodwood which I didn't believe.

The plaque was TT 01...The exhaust sounded Stock to my ears.

Go to Face book and search for "Capitol City Ford and Mustang Club" there is a video from yesterday of the car idling with a rev or two...I don't know how to post the video from FB to this site...It's not my video BTW.

Not a huge fan of the chrome around the tail lights or the louvers. And the LE colors dont do it for me. So sedate... Give me a bright orange red or yellow GT with performance pack, fat tires, blacked out wheels. Thats more my style. And then the kick the sh out of her everytime you drive.

When you have the video as popup frame on Facebook, you can simply copy the url address from your browser and share it.

Great post! I notice the body lines seem far superior to the dealer training cars people have posted which is what I figured and expected from Ford. Can you confirm the body lines are very good? I noticed some early pics of poor fitting trunks etc but this car seems perfect.

That exhaust note is going to make the wait seem that much longer :frusty:
