My salesperson invited me to attend the Ford training for the sales employees where I am buying. I heard a 90-minute presentation going over all of the information that we mainly already know here. The trainer also provided some Mustang trivia questions, some of which I knew, some of which I didn't.
At any rate, I got to sit in the car again and study it a bit more. I heard the car started and drive away.
It was a Ruby Red Premium EcoBoost automatic car without a performance pack. I didn't get a shot of the window sticker unfortunately.
Here's a list of the new things I heard and saw, in no particular order -
1) there is soft-touch material on the upper part of the door panels and it feels very premium (Topnotch mentioned this in a previous post)
2) the halo lighting surrounding the gauges on the current cars via the MyColor feature is not present in this one
3) the 50th limited editions will be interspersed through the 2015 model year build cycle
4) there is no remote start feature with the manual transmission (probably already in the dealer guides but I can't recall)
5) if you use the line lock 20 times on your 20" summer performance tires, you probably will have used up the tread!
6) the traction control can be turned totally off with the toggle selector by holding it up for 5 seconds
7) the MyFordTouch hardware in the 2015 now recognizes 10000 different SYNC voice commands
8) you get 1 free year of SYNC services in the MyFordTouch SYNC system
9) the vehicle health report and SYNC services option will be phased out by 2017
10) future SYNC systems are under development but it will probably not be until 2017 when the new ones phase in
I've got some photos of the car below with some of the detail features, but I also will post to the Race Red thread as well. These were taken in overcast conditions.
My wife saw the car today for the first time, and she said she thought the lines were very nice.
