Join Us Live on Dec 5th for the 2015 Mustang Debut & Give Us Your Questions for Ford

Mustang6G will be at the New York and/or Los Angeles events for the 2015 Mustang reveal on Thursday, December 5, 2013!! The events will be packed with speakers, festivities and celebration of 50 years of the Mustang, and of course will include the official unveiling of the next-generation Mustang (S550).

Join us live on the forums as we will be posting pictures, videos, and sound bites galore from the event(s). We should have more details for you as we get closer to the big day! :ford:

***First official images may hit the internet first as press embargo lifts at 12:01 AM ET on December 5th (rumored to be 3 official S550 Mustang images).


What will be shown at the events?
We have confirmed there will be different colors and models featured at the different reveal events and both coupe and convertible versions of the S550 will be shown. It is rumored that an example of factory RHD will be shown at the Sydney event.


Live TV Reveal
[7:00 am ET]: live reveal on Good Morning America show (ABC) in Times Square. Ford confirmed to us that the reveal will be held outside and "easily seen from the street." This will coincide with simultaneous live reveals in Dearborn, Sydney, Barcelona, and Shanghai.

Dearborn & NY: 7:00am
Los Angeles: 4:00am
Barcelona: 1:00pm
Sydney: 11:00pm
Shanghai: 8:00pm


Barcelona Event & Online Broadcast
[7:00 am - 8:00 am ET]: live reveal from Barcelona (streamed live at http://www.gofurtherlive2013.com/). The event will also feature news about technology and new vehicles that will shape the future of Ford in Europe. Ford Executive Chairman Bill Ford and Ford Executive Vice President, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Stephen Odell will be joined by several senior Ford executives at the event, which will be attended by Ford’s full European dealer body and members of the media from across the region.




Dearborn Event
[7:00am ET]: This is the main event and will be Mustang only. In addition to revealing the 2015 Mustang, the event will also feature and pay tribute to classic Mustangs throughout its history. Ford president and CEO Alan Mulally is expected to host this event and other executives, such as COO Mark Fields are expected to host the other US-based Mustang reveals. Ford’s marketing chief, Jim Farley, said at the LA auto show that he’ll be at one of the Mustang reveals outside the US.


Sydney Event
Rumored to be held at the Australian Technology Park (ATP) in Sydney, Australia.

Ford Australia is rumored to be showing an example of a factory right-hand drive S550 although RHD production is not expected until 2015. Apart from revealing the car, Ford will reveal key powertrain details and its Australian rollout plans for the new Mustang, which is expected on sale in 2015. In attendance at the unveiling will be Ford’s Global Powertrain Chief, Bob Fascetti, and its Asia Pacific Product Development Vice-President, former Ford Australia product chief Trevor Worthington.

Yes and it will be an entire day of Mustang festivities.

Havent been paying much attention but where is the NY location for the event?

Would the revealed be open to the public or how does it work?

I'm sure the event itself will be invite only. If it's an all-day thing maybe they'll host a little party somewhere open to the public tho? :shrug:

We seem to have some conflicting info on when the event will start. Now i'm wondering if the reveal will happen at the same time for all the cities.

Hey JarStang, congrats on getting the invite to the live events. You and Mustang6G certainly deserve the recognition from Ford.

If you get to ask questions, please be sure to ask and publish any information on the S550 at the 50th Celebration.
Specifically,
Will it be present at both venues?
How many models?
Can we get up close and personal?
Will it be joining any of the Pony Drives?
When will MCA be allowed to publish details on S550 plans?

I can't believe it will just be 11 days more of waiting .... with all the possibilities.
