I've seen these mentioned here a couple of times, but haven't seen anyone post pictures of these installed. I was worried that the spherical joint on my TR005 was getting dirty, so I ordered the RERS3 from Summit Racing and installed them yesterday. Once I took off the TR005 and inspected it, it was dirty, but the spherical joint still moved just fine. I moved the spherical joint around in circles, wiping off dirt with a paper towel before installing the dust boot.

The dust boot was difficult to install, but I finally got them over the spherical joint by stretching the opening with two small screwdrivers. The rubber stretches a good amount and didn't tear at all, it's very durable. I installed the dust boot without the billet spacers in. These go in pretty easily once the dust boot is installed and only require a little bit of situating to get the rubber to go over these spacers.

Overall, I'm very satisfied with the protection from the elements that these will provide. They seal the entire spherical joint area very well. Installing these may be going overboard, but it can't hurt keeping these free of dirt and debris.

Glad I could help!

Also, my next suggestion......center that adjuster. Make it where the threads on each side of the center hex are as close to the same lengths as possible.

Not that it isnt safe how you have it, but It doesnt look like you have much thread engagement.

Ok, thanks for the advice Kelly! The shop I took it to to get the alignment done were the ones who adjusted it last. So, when I get a chance, I'll center it while keeping the overall length the same, as to not change my toe alignment. I guess the adjuster not being centered is something I noticed, but I never really thought to ask if it should be centered or not.

Just curious, do you know why BMR/Steeda/UPR all decided to go with a dual threaded adjustment as opposed to a single threaded one? Is that to be able to adjust the length of the rod without having to move the position of the steel fork?

Dual thread = on car adjustable.

I would never, ever ever recommend a single off car adjustable Toe Link/Rod.

That would be taking a monstrous step backwards. ;)

I also installed my dust boots today on my BMR toe rods. I actually had one boot rip on me while trying to get it on. Good thing it comes with 6 :D

Install was fairly easy. Not sure if I did it the right/wrong way or right/wrong grease ect.. But I got them on and used the 2 pliers method after seeing a video of someone doing it that way. A bench vise did make this a lot easier though.

Anyways, here's a video I made installing them. I had to edit out the sound because of some huge dump truck rolling through the neighborhood, so I added some tunes instead. Enjoy and hope this helps the next guy :)
