Spoiler options for a vert? It seems to be a Goldilocks senario for me.

I am looking to pull the trigger soon on a 2016 vert PP. There are actually 3 spec'd out the way I like across the country. It's a matter of wheeling and dealing now. :)

For me the rear of this car is begging for a spoiler, something with a little "weight" to it but not so big as to spoil the lines of the car. I'd like to install the spoiler the day I get the car. Problem is:

The lip spoilers are too small for my taste.

The CDC spoiler is too big.

The CS spoiler is almost there but a little small.

Any other options that may be just right?

I'd love to see some pics of verts with the top down with aftermarket spoilers!

You have got to watch fitment, Many fastback spoilers don't fit and some say they do but are CLOSE, but no cigar. I had the factory on my 15 convertible, removed it for the Foose by MMD but it wasn't a great fit. Since I have holes in my trunk, I need something that sits on the body. I would have done the GT/GS myself. Look at the Cervini's, fits the vert and larger than the GT/CS with similar style.

I just received the Ford Accessories GT350 track pack spoiler, it has a lip at the rear and sit along the back edge of the trunk, it does not fit a convertible.

Purchased the CDC, its at the shop getting painted. I like the fact that it hangs over the back of the trunk, designed around the 3rd brake light and UPR had it in stock and the price was good. All the spoilers are ok, none jump out and say YES. I should have ordered the car with spoiler delete so I could have done the roush. Wednesday I will pick it up and install it. Photos to come.

Spoiler Update

So I FINALLY got the spoiler back from the Body shop. They did one hell of a job painting it. They charged me extra (as they said they would) because it was needing a LOT more prep work. It was far from Ready to paint. They showed me gouges, pits, and pock marks. So $300 for the spoiler, and $250 for paint and I am about $550 into this and I went to install it today.

Initial fitment......

When i bought it I placed it on the car, it being rough didn't allow me to flex it and hold it down as I should have, but it looked close and CDC assured me fitment. They did say the convertible was a good fit but required a little more finesse. I was not willing to scratch my car so I left the finesse for the final install.

Todays install......

Lets say it didn't go well. As it turns out the holes that need to be drilled on a convertible are VERY close to the existing hole, so much so that you can't have them as separate, so thats a no win situation. At best there will be gaps on the install on a convertible, and they say its not that bad. I am working with them, they seem to be very interesting in my situation, and I will keep you updated, but theres NO WAY I am putting this on my car.

Will the Roush fit spoiler delete cars? I'll be getting a PP car.

Darn sorry to hear that, I hope it works out for you. Thanks for being the guinea pig on this. You're saving me lots of heart ache. My wife doesnt understand why I spend so much time researching this but I think spoilers can make or break a car visually.

Anderson Composites makes a integrated deck lid/wing that is the best looking option in my opinion but alas its not for verts. :(

Here's the CDC that you think is too big. I also got it with 'balancing out the rear' in mind. Did the CDC Light Bar too.

spoiler courtesy of BMC Extreme Customs. It's a re-do of the Roush spoiler but with a cutout for the third brake light.

Car looks great Bud!!!!

Just wondering if you had thought about painting the spoiler black before going PTM. I love the look, but black would look great as well.

I guess that's the CS look (which I am obviously in favor of):D

Haha. .. Yes I did, as a matter of fact! But I decided against it because of the way it cuts around the deck lid brake light. I thought it wouldn't look just quite right so I went with body color.
