Don't think there is a post for this? Anyways, just filled mine in which took for ever.

Anyways, my chance to have a right old moan about the mess they make with the under seal in Belgium - both barrels in fact! :paddle:

Quote

"One of my biggest gripes is the under sealing process that the cars go through in Belgium (nothing to do with the car but the people employed to screw up the underside), and it is grossly SUB-STANDARD (I take it there are no QA/QC procedures in place here?). If I had of had the choice knowing what I know I now, I would have tried to opt out of the under sealing for sure! The under seal is in places it shouldn’t be, and places I think it should be, it isn’t. The under seal is literally all over the exhaust (for the first couple hundred miles it smelt as though the car was going to burst into flames), driveshaft, and rear diff – not to mention overspray on the inner wheel rims and some even made it onto the rear under bumper painted splitter)."

Why hasn't this been mentioned more often. Panel gaps are easily sorted at home. But under seal is probably the most important thing for these cars and if it's not being done properly it can bite you in the ass later in life.
It's not something that can be done on someone's drive and can be a right mess of a job.

Anyone attempted a warranty claim on bad under seal?

The under sealing is something that's been playing on my mind, how many on here have had it re done, any ideas on costs and time scales?

I'd love to be sent a link to this, pretty sure we could all come up with a hapless list of feedback.

1) Time from order to delivery
2) Time from build to delivery
3) Underseal process
4) Time from southampton to dealers
5) Lack of communication from dealers
6) Dealers lack of knowledge regarding the car
7) Pannel alignment
8) Parts of the car breaking after a few months (wire loom, Puddle light, passanger scratches on mirrors etc)
9) Tyres, my god those fk'ing pzeros ARE NOT safe for winter driving AT ALL. It's doable but compromises the car severely.
10) Lack of options/customisation ability with the cars, would have liked to not pay for the shaker system as only wanted nav. Different stipe choices, interior trim levels etc (Alcantara 2016 CS anyone?)
11) Colour choices / lack of 'real-life' examples when ordering
12) Oil in the cars
13) Lack of care taken for cars during delivery process (Coming with scratches, dents, missing paint, silicone contamination, windows being left open etc)
14) Dealerships using other dealerships to place the orders taking months.

Shall I continue?

*To disclose, these are ones i've picked up from others, very few relate to myself before someone thinks I'm having a whinge ;)

It would be interesting to see what other questions the survey asks......and who's received it (will it go to ALL owners, or are they sent randomly?).

If anyone is able to post something up, it'd make interesting reading.

(I was wondering about potential feedback to Ford on things like clear tails/lack of front gill DRLs etc)

:)

I presume all owners of actual deliveries will get it. The problem is that the survey has a unique login ID that comes with letter, so its not a survey that can be posted as such. I am surprised that nobody else has posted on this already, especially those who got their cars before Christmas...

Maybe you are the only one to get one yet?

I was told I'd get a follow up call from the dealer to make sure all was well as a survey call to report on the dealer. Guess what? Yep, they went the same way as all the other promised calls.

Haven't had one through yet, oh where would I start!
Maybe they are selective;). Or as Mander suggests read your posts and thought better of it..

I think that I received the survey because I registered my purchase on My Ford and it was not via the dealer. There was a separate how did your dealer experience do survey.

The survey is massive and goes into detail that you would not think to mention but as it does go to that detail you can comment in much more detail than you would expect. It took me well over an hour in multiple sessions to complete.

Perhaps I shouldn't say this but one concern that I have is that perhaps anyone with a valid VIN can register a Mustang purchase on My Ford.

I must of registered at some point and forgot all about it! As you say, it is very detailed and i was surprised by how much. Similar to me, mine took around an hour to complete and it is worth taking the time to do and hope all the tick boxes and comments are taken on board. Be interesting to see if there is any feedback.

Don't think they can at the moment. I tried a few times today and it just sent me back to the homepage.
