My partner lives in LA. He was driving his parents around LA and while going through the San Fernando Valley, he came across a camo'd Mustang. He thought it was just another test mule from ford driving around LA.
He noticed something off though.
It had the turn signals on the hood, so he knew it was a 2016. He noticed the roof was shiny, so he thought it was a painted roof. But when he looked in the car, he could see lights through the roof, indicating it was some sort of glass roof. he noticed that the headlights had an additional gill, not like the three gills the current models have now, and in place of the projector for the HID's, it has the same glass prism array that is used in the current F150's. Also noted that the car had GT PP wheels, and loud exhaust. Couldn't get any pictures because it was too dark and they were moving too fast. He thought it could be one of Galpin's wild creations since it was driving around their neck of the woods. But it got me thinking:
It doesn't really make sense for Ford to put out a 2016 Mustang test mule since its only one month away from production, as well as the GT350, since that is also one month from production too. He did also notice it had quad exhaust. Maybe, this is a GT500 prototype? OR maybe a specialty model? Or a GT350 testing out some future options for 2017 or 2018?
What do y'all think?
