Well, I took another leap of faith (you may remember I bought take off optional 20's and proved they fit the PP) and purchased the OEM boost/vacuum gauge from an Ecoboost and installed it in my PP Whippled GT tonight. Well, IT WORKS!!! It was a simple plug and play thing and not only does it work, it seems to be balls on accurate as well based on what my dyno pulls said my boost levels were.

Not much else to say so here is a video of me testing it in neutral before I buttoned everything up and very shaky video my wife and I just shot on our way out to dinner.

The European cars have no gauges and they are not available as an option neither. We do have the rest of the PP features as standard. On ebay dash panels with gauges are available....I read Ford has all the cables pre-installed in all cars for all possible features...Blis, seat memory, gauges?
Does anyone have more (reliable) info?
Many of the European forum members would love to have the gauges installed...
It doesn't seem to be the PP Dash panel...Did you find a regular panel with the locations for the gauges?

I have the 50 year appearance package so the finnish is different than the standard PP dash.

As far as your question....... If I were on the other side of the pond like you are I would probably be buying the dash and gauges and trying it out lol. You could pull your dash panel off when you get your car and see if the wire is there before you pull the trigger.

JMEO- any tips on pulling the dash piece around the gauges?

Do you have a whipple setup?

Very cool find, i'm guessing ford with offer these gauges to people who go FI in the near future, an easy way to make a little more money I guess. This will be a popular swap indeed.

It's actually quite easy. Just pop the small trim piece to the right lower side of the glove box first then the large piece with the gauges, unplug the gauge and its out.

To swap it there are just 4 torx screws holding it in place. Simple simple, and yes I have a Whipple :)

Do you think that a spacer could be put under the mounting screws to angle the gauges toward the driver?

They are pretty useless mounted the way they are.

Picked up a damaged dash trim piece with gauges and vents out of an ecoboost for $250.00 shipped. Saved some money.

Please forgive the question but what are Option 20's? For your install did you have to do anything with sensors or is the MAP sensor able to send boost as well as vacuum and you simply plugged in the Ecoboost proper gauge? :)

Freaking awesome video by the way. I was dozing off and came across this thread. Now all amped up on the andrenaline lol.
