A little background on myself. I have been playing music videos instead of music for almost 10 years in every single vehicle I've ever owned. I blame this solely on watching that silly tv show Pimp My Ride since I was a little kid and fell in love with having TVs in cars.
I have always purchased base version of vehicles so I can swap out the stereo with an in dash head unit and use the RCA VIDEO IN cables. A 160gb iPod classic is the heart of my system with thousands of music videos stored and updated regularly.
This is my current setup in the vehicle I'm trading in for the Mustang

Now jumping the 2015 Mustang, I thought about purchasing the base v6, but since nobody makes a dash kit for the 2015 yet, I have no choice but to go with the Ecoboost and use an aftermarket Video Interface device such as NAVTOOL.
What I'm wondering is if anyone else has any experience in this field with aftermarket video interfaces that allows factory screens to play video? I only know of NAVTOOL because I saw a brochure in my local shop and I have always relied on aftermarket headunits for VIDEO INPUT.
When I had my 2012 Mustang I was able to use a headunit because there were multiple aftermarket dashkits for it
