Hey guys, I love reading and learning about cars, especially when related to the EcoBoost platform, so I thought I'd share this with everyone.
It's a great write-up that Alex from Stratified composed back in January about the EcoBoost engines and it explains a lot about what knock is, what you're seeing in your datalogs, what's good/bad, etc.
Alex has done and is doing some phenomenal work with the EcoBoost platform right now and really knows his stuff. He has a long history with the Mazda DISI platform (kind of a grandfather to the EcoBoost line) and has been working on the EcoBoost platform since the FoST debuted. You should see his new auxiliary fueling kit for the FoSTs to resolve the fueling issue (like we're seeing with the EBM).
