Just wondering if anyone knows I'f the front bumper comes pre drilled from factory, or if that's something the dealer does. I really prefer it with no holes.. thanks and tried searching but my phone wouldn't let me use that function.

Mine did not have holes in it. That is a dealer only thing.

Ugh...I specifically told my sales guy: "please make sure they don't mount the front license plate...please!"

They did it anyways. Anyone know what I might be looking at to have it filled/painted/fixed?

Anyone know any tricks?

Are you talking about complete holes, or just taps for the holes? As in an indent to show where to put a license plate.

Wow I would have thrown a fit, luckily Florida doesn't require them but still I'm not sure I'd accept delivery if they did it after I asked them not too.

Sounds like their body shop needs to fill them for you, at no cost.

Yea, I got really lucky on mine. Every other car there had them already drilled and I said "If you drill this bumper, the deal is off." lol

Sucks to hear man, I think the only choices are get a new bumper or you can get painted bumper plugs.

Yeah I'm talking complete holes, I'll talk to my sales man about that. Lucky on my explorer the holes are on the black body plastic stuff, so I just plugged them with those black trim retainers.

Will not accept delivery if my bumper is drilled.
+1

my salesman knew. I went back up the week after ordering and said I forgot one item, he says I know no front plate, granted this dealer doesn't install front bracket until the unit is sold. At that point thay want find the bracket as it will already be hidden from them. And no I want except drilled.

I forgot to ask my sales guy not to drill the bumper for the front plates. he clearly felt my enthusiasm for the car and when i took delivery, he told me "no way was i going to drill the bumper on this... the bracket is in the trunk, do with that as you please!" the man wins at life!

I am getting the stow and go, which is currently on back order as i had to get the one for the 50th year appearance package.

front licences plate holes are 100% dealer done.

That being said, you can ask them not to drill holes and most comply. My dealer told me they don't drill holes on any mustang they sell, just leave the bracket in the trunk. I'll end up getting a retractable front licences plate holder. They are cheap and does not ruin your front bumper.

The spots are dimpled from the factory. Don't freak if you see the dimples.
