Cold weather starts can sometimes be a little longer due to e85 gelling up a bit. I recommend running gasoline in the cold winter months (anything under 40*). E85 is hydroscopic meaning it absorbs moisture. You do not want to store it for very long. As long as you are using it and not storing it for months you will be ok. I have been running e85 for the last 4 months and 7k miles straight. Lund only recommends an injector upgrade with e85 if you have upgraded the intake manifold and rev close to 8k. I would buy an SCT since it will save you money and have Lund email tune you. Don't bother with the intake unless you get a great deal.

it will always be an argument, but for me it seems the difference between a tune and a tune with a JLT is about 8-10whp according to lunds video. The got about 430 stock, 441 with just a tune. tune and JLT is 450. So according to their video... with a 18 its about 9whp.. there have been more then a few showing 4-6whp from a drop in. so is that 4-6whp worth $300+??? to some yeah, to others nope.

Again, this is just the 2018 GT, the earlier cars may be more gains.

There's no doubt an aftermarket intake tube will make power, but for many the cost is questionable for the gain.

So with an e85 tune does it make the vehicle "Flex" or just e85?

Just e85. flex fuel tune should be able to run any amount of ethanol. e85 tune needs to be really close to e85.

Relying on just e85 seems risky. Can you switch back to 87 or 93 easily?

The vendor sites don't seem to have much info.

with a separate tune yes, just reload it. Ill be honest idk how tunes work on the mustang as far as changing them, my last 2 cars i could change from 91 to e85 (e30 for the ST) with the cruise control buttons. the FRS went flex fuel the ST went from e30 to WMI. got the fuel milage of 91 but the power of e30 when i needed, i dont think the GT's are the same, though the ecoboosts are on Cobb

If you’re running a dedicated E85 tune, just switch to a 93 tune.

If you’re running a flex fuel tune, you can switch fuels whenever you would like. You can also mix both fuels as well.

With the Flex Fuel tune you don't have to rely on E85. You can bounce back and forth between 93 and E85 all you want. Mix and match or whatever. So in reality it would be the only tune you need. The 93 tune is strictly 93 octane. If you purchase the FF tune you can also ask for the E85 race tune(E85 only). That tune really steps up the lower and mid gains(quick to the redline). Wouldn't use it for everyday driving though.

Do the change to E85, you won't regret it.

As for the international tuning, no you do not need to purchase that unless you change the IM or supercharge it down the track.

I will say that I do pretty much all city driving, and fuel consumption is up by 50% when running the Lund E85 race tune, but YMMV

From lund with no charge? I have the FF tune didn't know you could ask for a E-85 race tune I bought it like 2 months ago. I have like 3 e85 pumps like less then 5 miles away. I would love to have the E-85 race tune

Ya....ask whoever it is you correspond with at Lund regarding your FF tune if they can send you the E85 race toon(E85 Only). It really rips...
