Yep! Watched the process during my wrap.

There are 2 locations under the trunk lid where it is bolted down. You will have to remove those and then start the long PITA process of pulling it off the trunk. The factory adhesive is very strong. I would recommend 10lb test or higher fishing line and saw back and forth from each edge. you will have to fish it under the middle locations since you will get stuck where the bolts mount.

Recommend second set of hands to pull up. ALso recommend hair dryer or heat gun to help heat the adhesive

If you want the spoiler delete try to post an ad for a trunk swap. Its a very easy install.

Um, no.

I've done this already and there is a bit more to it than that. That spoiler has 4 bolts, 3 guide pins, and 2 plastic tabs holding it to the trunk. You are going to have to remove the inner trunk liner and the rubber boots on the bottom of the lid to expose the two inner nuts that you can't see. The two plastic tabs are right inside of the outer bolts. Those you are going to have to carefully muscle up. If you think you are just going to saw some fishing line through there, because you think its only two bolts and adhesive, you are going to be in for the same 7 surprises I got when my fishing line broke.

More info can be found here (http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10201). A bunch of us were kicking around the idea of what to do with that lip several months ago.

9 freaking holes for that little spoiler that you see here on my car back in February. Prepare to lose your fingerprints.

Why I removed it...

The end result...

Anyone know if the EB spoiler has the same holes?

I'm going to go with yes. An easy way to tell, though is to just open the trunk and remove the inner liner. Then remove the bumpers on the bottom of the lid (should take you 5-10min tops). You can see a few of the bolts and guide pins there.

I doubt Ford mounted the rear deck lids on these Mustangs different from one another just because one has 4 fewer cylinders than the other.

Thanks. I kinda figured they'd be the same, but can never tell since the spoilers themselves are different.
