Steal it, then make a video review of the handling and performance while running from the cops! :headbang:
Hmmmm, 1 keyless entry system with key holder in close proximity + 1 Fearless Twin Turbo= 1 hell of a joy ride:D

I'll do my best to get photos posted as quickly as possible, but I won't be taking my laptop, so we'll see how it goes. Otherwise, I'll be posting like crazy once I'm home :)
Same story here.

I can't wait to get to Charlotte on 4/16. I was lucky enough to attend the 30th anniversary celebration at Charlotte in 1994. Man I had a ball. This one should be over the top. Can't wait to see the 2015 in person.

Mustangs Across America Joins Forces with Hollywood

Has anyone seen this? They are making a documentary out of the 50th anniversary pony runs. Pretty cool.

Time to lay out the Red Carpet, as Hollywood comes knocking on the Mustang stable. Sam Haymart of Mustangs Across America teamed up with, “Mustangs Across America - The Documentary”, to film the seven day Mustang Drive from coast to coast in celebration of 50 years of the Mustang. Haymart along with at least 450 other Stangs at last count have invited veteran filmmakers Rodney Rastall and Ed Griffith on this historic drive to document the journey. This will be Haymart’s sixth Mustang drive. In tribute to Haymart’s first drive in 1995, Haymart has chosen a 1995 GT as the Pace car that he will use to lead the 450 plus ponies across the nation and into Charlotte, NC on April 16th.

.....

The Filmmakers, Left:Rodney Rastall Right: Ed Griffith

Randy Rastall and Ed Griffith interviewing and filming Donna Rye for the Mustang Documentary.

One of many pony stories to look forward to upon completion of the film.

Rastall and Griffith plan to capture and tell the story of the Mustang and those who love this American icon. Rastall and Griffth, both experienced film makers, will be telling the story of the journey and sharing the stories from those who have traveled across the world to be part of the celebration to those who live here in our backyard. Each is a unique story of how they came to love this icon we know as the Mustang. Rastall became fascinated with the enchantment of the Mustang through his close friend, Tom Sachse. With his new found fascination with the Mustang and film making experience decided he wanted to take the story of the Mustang and the Mustang owners to the screen. Rastall enlisted his long time friend in the film making industry, Ed Griffith to come on board to bring this project to life. Thus the, “Mustangs Across America- The Documentary”, project was born. Both Rastall and Griffith have begun interviewing those who will participate in the drive and will continue to document the entire celebration all the way to when they gallop into Charlotte,NC and through the celebration to finish off the party with a bang.

Hollywood meets the Mustang. Look to see this historic documentary on Video on Demand. Rastall and Griffth capturing Mustang memories to share with the next pony generation. To follow the historic journey you can visit Mustangs Across America and check out the site for the Mustangs Across America documentary.

I will not, but I will be wishing my friend Sam Haymart well for his MAA Mustang Drive. I was on Sam's 1995 and 2009 drives. I've got pictures. Lots and lots of pictures.

I will be with an MCA Club called the Great American Pony Drive that is organizing 7 Pony Drives all converging near Mustang,OK for a 2 day Pre-Party on April 11-12. I am leading the Spur that will be launching from Ford World HQ in Dearborn.

From Mustang, OK (actually Norman,OK) we will split into two groups. One headed to Las Vegas, and the other to Charlotte. Not very efficient you say? Driving from Boston west to Oklahoma then back east to Charlotte? We have people flying from the UK, NZ, OZ, into Florida renting Hertz Mustangs and driving to OK then back to Charlotte. Others flying into LA, then OK and back to Vegas. It's not just inefficient, it's nuts.

All together with GAPD, MAA, and people traveling on their own we will have almost 2000 cars in Vegas and 4000 in Charlotte. That is one hell of a BDay Party.

The candle on the cake will be a new Guinness World Record parade in Charlotte breaking the old Mustang record of 620 cars with a 2 mile parade of hopefully a minimum of 1500 cars. That is the video that I want to be in.

Here is the map of what all this craziness looks like.
MAA is the red lines, MCA from OK to NC or NV is yellow, and the rest is GAPD.

Come out and help lead us through your area and cheer us on even if you can't join us this year. And be sure to put an MCA or MAA Pony Drive on your Bucket List for the next time (I'll be well past my Best Before Date by the 100th), or sign up now and start packing your Mustang.

I was at an indoor car show yesterday and asked the president of the Ontario Camaro Club (150 cars) if they have anything like MCA and major Camaro events. He told me that the International Camaro Clubs organization died around 1993 from too much inbreeding (or maybe he said infighting) and back stabbing. You can add MCA as another reason to buy a Mustang rather than a Camaro.....BUT YA GOTTA DRIVE IT! :paddle:

We are working on setting up a Real Time photo and text journal site so the world can watch at least some of us while we travel and share some pictures.

Anyone have any suggestions on something other than Flickr with enough space available at a reasonable price for a month to let any of us Pony Drivers (about 500 cars for MCA and GAPD and another 450+ for MAA) send a picture and/or a PDF attachment to an email at a website email address to let the rest of the Mustang world see it immediately? I think Flickr can do all that but space/cost can be an issue.

"Ford is offering Mustang 50th Birthday Celebration participants the chance to experience new Ford vehicles with Ride and Drive opportunities on the LVMS inside road course." (- Mustang-50th-Anniversary-Official-Event-Guide)

Does this mean participants can ride in a new S550? :eyebulge:
But even if this should be possible, I guess there will be a VERY limited number of lucky people...
I want! :headbang:
