ADM is here to stay. You want exclusivity, pay for it. Unfortunately, that's the stealership way.
the problem is the dealers. we all need to write our congressmen/ women and request the abolishment of dealer franchise laws.

seems to be a west coast problem from my searching though i didnt try any east coast dealers. my raptor is being built currently @ msrp. found a great dealer to work with in Baton Rouge. deals are out there just have to search. ill gladly spend $1000 to buy out of state @ msrp. ill get a nice little road trip out of it and i get to visit some new places, win win.
This has been an issue before, specifically in the pacific northwest. GT350/R are rare and they mark everything up. I bought a '17 Explorer sport like 3 months ago and they had a raptor and wanted 30K ADM!!!! Luckily through my in-laws I found out we have family that owns a Ford dealer in the Detroit area and after a long conversation (mostly about the SE mustang!) he said he could get me taken care of for at least MSRP.

Many times its not what you know, but rather who you know..
Speaking of dealer prices though, brand new Premium/Performance Pack 2017 GTs are going for mid-low 30s around here.. getting ready for the 2018s I guess!

I agree with that. Now back to the GT500... any news on thePill's suggestion of hot weather testing? Hard to believe no one saw that if it indeed happened.

That rendering is not bad hopefully it will look that good or better! I would definitely ride that depending on what power plant they end up going with! The potential is there just hope Ford takes it to 11!

If they hurry, they can make a 2018 GT500 but it still won't be an actual anniversary car. Just like the 2015 GT350's, Most of the 2018 GT500's will be spoken for before we ever see it :(

Romeo didn't spend nearly 2 years on a supercharged V8, this is something equally as special as the FGT's engine.

Hot Weather Testing... doubtful they would test in Michigan after the 5th of September.

I would be cautious at anything Motor Trend/Automobile related (same pub). They are not permitted to comment on C&D/R&T's original content... so they need to kinda create their own.

I have a question, if Ford releases a new GT500, will there be GT500R trim available? Or is there only going to be one trim?

What do you guys think?

I guess it possible. I personally don't think the next SE is going to be a track focused car. I'm thinking/hoping for more of the ultimate super-muscle car for the street. Think more of an American style Porsche Turbo-Nissan GTR. At least that would make me happy. It's anyone's guess right now!

The Turbo is a pig. However the Turbo GT2 is faster than the track focused GT3 on a track.

That's true, who knows what Ford has up there sleeves!

The reason I think they may release a GT500R is to compete with the Camaro ZL1 1LE.

It would be a GT500 with carbon fiber trim along with a special tune.

Having owned one I can assure you that a Porsche turbo is no "pig". Fast as hell in just about and situation and comfortable doing it. The Gt2/Gt3 are more stripped down track focused machines. If that's your cup of tea. The point I was making is hopefully the GT500 is more comfort/big performance rather than ultimate performance in a stripper model! To each his own some folks think they want every thing gone but one seat and a steering wheel! Chevy tried that with the last z28 and they are still seating on lots with huge discounts and no buyers! Will be interesting to say which direction Ford takes it!
