Well my ford dealer did their first oil change on a 2015 mustang today (my car) the PP has a solid plastic plate that covers under the entire engine compartment. they had no idea but to take the whole plate off, needless to say we found a small access door located next to the left front wheel

At least there is an access flap for the filter.

I assume the drain plug is plainly accessible on the pan without any drama?

Great! That makes it easier. Now can someone with a V6 confirm if there is a flap? I can't see one from the pictures I took.

So, what weight oil did they put in it? The 13 and 14 track pack cars called for 5W -50. I can not find any reference to that in my manual, nor can the dealer. Their chart doesn't say anything different for 15 regardless of PP or not. They are submitting a question to Ford Engineering.

Is it not printed on the oil cap?

Yes, but I think it was on the 13-14 track pack cars too. Can someone confirm what the oil cap says on a 13 or 14 track pack car?

My dealer was speculating that due to the changes in the 15 head, 5W-50 is no longer required, be he is checking with engineering.

My oil pressure dropped after the change, is this due to lighter oil?

That access door isn't on my GT (non-PP). I wonder why we wouldn't get the door, too? We change oil just as often! :)

Because the undertray is not the same. The one for performance pack is for better arerodynamics

I wonder if the piece with the access door will fit on mine. The piece I have to drop down completely looks similar (and I see all of the connecting points on my frame).

If not, I can probably cut off the same size piece, re-attach it with a hinge, and make my own access panel.

I'm fairly certain all Of the parts will crossover and fit just fine. Just need the hardware and panel

I have my trusty Ford parts guy checking for me. :)

I'll post back if I find out part numbers...
