I could be wrong, but it seems like the outcomes vary for reasons I wouldn't try to assume. I say that because after spending an hour or so on Google searches, there is a disparity in outcomes, pass or fail. Some in very recent years passed with non CARB certified tunes, some did not. It's...
Before your systolic goes crazy, read the article in the link. There is a distinction between what you are saying and the new ECU law passed in July 2021. The tune in your ECU will need to match the California CVN database as of the passage of the NEW LAW passed July 2021. If it does not match...
This was really helpful, thank you. I just have a catback and the tune. Based on what you are telling me, it sounds like I should be able to flash it back to stock and I should pass.
That's not correct. This new law was adopted in July 2021, and smog stations now check the ECU for any non OEM tune with exception to any that carry a CARB approval.

Since Ca. has adopted a new regulation against ECU tunes, just wondering if anyone with an aftermarket tune has been through smog since this was adopted and had any problems?
I have a pair of 50th anniversary tail lights in excellent condition. No scratches or blemishes anywhere. I had installed these on my Bullitt, and removed them when I sold the car.
$450 plus shipping.
Tough decision, but I am seriously considering selling my Bullitt. I've only managed to drive it about 100 miles over the past 10 months. I don't really enjoy cruise nights, etc. They are okay for a 1/2 hour or so, but after that I'm out. Being OCD (for real), I struggle parking it and leaving...
I think my enjoyment of this hobby is falling short of my expectations when I bought the car. I bought it with the belief that ICE's & V8's were going to go away, which I still believe they will. However, as a toy car, my Bullitt has only seen about 100 miles of use since I bought it used last...
The day finally came, and I received my plates. It took almost exactly six months. The 3 represents the third generation/offering of the Bullitt, which only us Bullitt geeks will know, but that's okay.
I have been poking around threads trying to absorb what I can about E85, and I am still a bit unsure about it. I have a 2019 Bullitt, and am considering a tune. However, being in California I only have access to questionable 91 grade fuel, so the benefits of a tune are somewhat less than 93...
The Charger still looks good to me, especially in wide body trim. The 6.4 is torque monster, and pulls hard all the way through redline, never feels out of breath. However, if you don't really need 4 doors, I would look elsewhere.
