The Diono 3Rs fit great, the Camaro has an even smaller back seat and they still work nicely, you're right though actually installing them is a contortion exercise
They didn't from the factory, but Ford made a rear seat kit to essentially re-install them, there are a few out there that have this in place, but it's very hard to find.
Still lurking haha.
Sold mine because I was after an R with a backset (hard to find to say the least) vs a ZL1 1LE. I knew I was going to start doing occasional track days but wanted to still be able to take my two young sons in the car so the backseat was necessary.
I loved my '16 and...
Questions I would pose to myself:
- Are you ok with it not being a stick?
- Look at maintenance cost and wear items: how are the tires on the car, look at cost to replace, same w/ brakes etc
- Insurance hit? Registration cost?
- Are you planning on modifying the car?
- The GT500 will hold its...
That tracks, my car has Michelin PS4s on it which is actually what I was looking for, I have no doubt the original Goodyears were steamrollers based on everything I’ve seen/read.
Thank you! That's awesome!
6 speed manual - super impressed with the car so far - the chassis is phenomenal. All of the reviews would have you believe the DSSV dampers make it so stiff you can't drive it but I've daily driven it to work since bringing it home and it has been fantastic, stiff...
Not "today" specifically but said goodbye last week after nearly 4 years with the car. Absolutely nothing but positive things to say about the car itself and the experience, the Voodoo will always have a place in my heart, lot of great memories and experiences.
I have been trying to thread a...
Congrats and enjoy!
For whatever it's worth:
Ford Performance air oil separators have been fantastic in the 3+ years I've had my car, I've got both driver and passenger side but you can certainly do just the passenger side, I've yet to pull any oil out of the drivers side.
Highly recommend the...
My two cents: put the best possible tires on the car you can for the conditions, all-seasons for the bulk of the driving season is a pretty big compromise in a car with this caliber of performance. To me it'd be worth it to simply have a second set of wheels/tires that you can switch to to...
For the exhaust tips, 0000 steel wool with Gliptone Liquid Metal Polish is the single easiest and quickest way I've ever used; makes it dead simple. Buff them off with an old microfiber/cloth after applying the polish and you're good to go. Picked this up from Auto Fanatic on one of his GT350...
2016 Tech here - my use case was not going to involve tracking this car, if it were I would've been far selective about a 2016 track pack or 2017+ newer to make sure the oil/transmission coolers were included. That said I've had the car 3+ years and have never had a temp issue with spirited back...
For whatever its worth, I had mine replaced through a Ford Dealer and was told the replacement compressor comes with a two year warranty, mileage unlimited, not exactly a huge amount of coverage but not nothing either.
Has anyone got any advice other than not running the AC when you're driving...
Got it back from service after a week and a half of work (parts delay), AC has never functioned since I purchased the car in December of 2020... lesson learned, didn't test it then (about the only thing I didn't look at too, because of course), found out way too many months later the compressor...
Also considering the exact same setup of 305 square with the 4s sizes, appreciate the input of others as I'd really like to get into the 4s on stock wheels if at all possible.
For those that have done this it looks like we're looking at about a 2-3 mph discrepancy in what the speedo will read...
Mine has the supercharger whine when the A/C is engaged, does blow cold in moderate temps but STRUGGLES to blow cold when it's above 80 outside. I'm outside of warranty (because of course), just curious what those who have had the compressor replaced saw in terms of cost and down time for the...
Met one of the powertrain engineers for the GT350 this year at Zingermann's cars and coffee here in Ann Arbor, when discussing the new Z06 LT6 he mentioned that one of the constraints they had back in development was that they could not do a dual intake manifold on the GT350 as a result of...
My understanding was that the Voodoo sound was a result of the fact that the firing order is different then that of a Ferrari, which was due to the inability to fit dual intakes secondary to packaging concerns, this also lead to unequal length headers. All of which contributes to the uniqueness...
Took the boys and the GT350 out to Cars and Coffee, marks the first ever ride for the younger one, and yes both seats (one rear facing!) and the stroller all fit, had a great time!
This heritage edition had a supercharger hiding under the hood
