I can tell you this.. I turned of the nannies and holy hell. Better hold on. It is not drag mode that is making the shifts soft.. it is the shit tires not having enough grip for what is being sent to them. In got on it and they spun on the 1>2 and when the 2>3 came in it was hang on cause we are...
So I have 2018 with all the goodness that is needed for a Cobb Stage 3 tune. I just happened to save some $$$ by going with CVF parts over Cobb. What I am seeing though is that when switching to Drag mode and going all out the car will just flat fall off when the 1>2 or 2>3 shifts are met with...
The last time I had a state inspection in Texas they put a sniffer on it. You would need to check your State/County/City. It can vary.
As an example I had someone tell me that in a neighboring county they did not check emissions but they do in mine as we are in a more populated area. BS...
I think the real question for the non-catted version is going to be - Can you pass emissions? That is the sole reason I went with catted. Mine is a daily driver so need to make sure that I get past all the inspection nonsense. It is an easy and cheap fix to add the spacer.
Ended up ordering this one.

Other than the one already suggested it seems to be one of the more popular...
Ok.. so I got the dreaded CEL. But honestly I expected it. From what I have seen it is a hit or miss thing to happen no matter who's downpipe you go with. Any suggestions on the O2 spacer to use. I know it will need to be one that is angled. Just want to get an idea of what everyone else has...
How is the sound on the Race version? I have been thinking I would go the Street version just to tone it down some. Are you getting any drone on the Race?
First off need to recognize that this is a company that is going to make a difference that some of the high dollar people need to take note on. They have a price point that is fair and quality that is 2nd to none. Add to that an exceptional support/sales teams that actually respond and listen...
yeah... if Ford could get their CARB stuff approved they could get the tune out for the 2018. Still waiting on that and of this morning the answer from Ford is "soon".
Have thought about flashing Cobb stage 1 as a safety till the FP tune comes out. Again.. trying to hold on to the warranty a...
While I know things are always better with a tune I am trying to hold on to the warranty a little longer. Anyone had any issues with check engine lights or engine running lean when swapping the downpipe out but not doing a tune?
So question or 2 here.
Are the one step colder plugs required/needed for the Cobb tune?
Why does Cobb only change out the cold side charge pipe when swapping the FMIC?
Why the change to the 2.5 diameter for the cat-back?
How does the Cobb tune work with the selectable drive modes? My 18 already has track apps and such so would be interested to know how all the custom features from 15-17 are implemented now.
I found out that the premium has an amp to help some. Buy since mine is just base with 101a package there is no amp.. bummer.. guess I will be looking at upgrades.
Hey guys,
Just got my new 2018 EcoBoost. It is the base model but has the 101a package option. This upgrades the sound system to the big screen and 9 speakers among other things. What I have noticed is that the rear speakers don't seem to be adding much to the overall sound at all. I can...
