As I keep finding issues related to my car being serviced at Star Ford last summer I feel I should let others be aware as it continues to infuriate me. In July 2018 I took my 2018 Shelby GT350 with 7k miles in to have the engine replaced, it had a mechanical failure which apparently isn't an...
I thought of that too, but for fun I reached out to a lemon law attorney in Texas (car was bought new there) to see what they think since it has been sitting for over 30 days consecutively.
Seriously, jealous of that turn around. My dealer took 3 weeks to even getting around to inspecting the car and giving Ford a prognosis. Waiting on engine now which was 2 weeks for shipping. 36 days in, hopefully wrapped up in the next week.
Appreciate the words, like I said- absolutely love the car but just been a somewhat rocky road so far and the Ford dealers I have tried haven't made it better other than the one I bought it from in TX, nice people.
And for Galpin, they were claiming the car was undrivable and spilling oil...
An update from me, the dealer (Star Ford) sat on the car for 2 weeks before even getting around to it but finally had the prognosis completed and Ford is putting a new engine in mine, 2018 with 7k miles.
Also had no loaner car until they got an approval from Ford...I would expect better...
Just read the whole thread, sounds like I am in line with what other people are experiencing. It made me look back in time at all the higher mileage BMW/Porsche's I had growing up that I would beat the hell out of...frankly surprised I never had an engine failure before now!
Anyway, once I...
So my car started making a pretty loud knocking sound over the weekend, now it's sitting at the dealer to find out the problem. 2018 GT350 with 7k miles. Sounded to me like a bottom end issue but will wait to see.
I've owned 16 cars and never had an engine failure so this a new experience for...
Searched but couldn't find any recommendations, I have an exhaust rattle on my 2018 GT350 and wanted to see if anyone could recommend a dealer in LA.
Had it at Galpin Ford all week, that really went nowhere other then them wanting to charge me $500 since they claimed the car had an...
Thank you and it's pretty long winded but in most cases people (car owners and renters) use Turo's insurance which is through Liberty Mutual. There are some people running fleets on there that provide their own commercial insurance too. Here are more details...
I bought it with the intention of it being used on there (and to justify the purchase haha). There is only one other one on Turo in LA right now for $444 a day. Turo limits these cars to 30+ age wise and being a peer to peer platform like Airbnb you are renting to someone that has some...
