How much do you want for the programmer? I can't figure out how to order it by itself.
Are there selectors on the programmer for different options? I just want to lose the EQ and the damned engine noise.
I don't want to take my dash apart, so I'll be making cables that connect behind the...
Question: What happens if you disconnect all the "feedback" wires from the amplifier on a premium system ( no sub)? Does everything still work minus the engine noise, etc or will the factory amp refuse to work?
I got a sweet deal on some JL speakers and had them installed. I could have done it myself but just didn't feel like bothering. The factory tweeters were disconnected, the midranges replaced with coaxials, and the bass drivers were upgraded. All factory wiring, nothing else touched.
My...
I e-mailed a couple of hours ago.
He already replied.
"they finally got here yesterday.. we are working to get through the back log we have.. and will start taking/shipping new orders monday"
I can't wait.
You don't specifically state it, but it looks pretty clear that you've modified the molex pins by straightening the longer ones as well as cutting off the shorter ones. Is that accurate?
It looks like the molex connectors being purchased are bypassing the amplifier by connecting to the cable that was plugged into the amplifier at the factory. What happens to the noise cancellation circuitry? Seeing as it appears to be just being ignored, does the H/U do anything trying to...
I always run 93, so does this mean that the new program will learn and get full use out of it? Around here it's either 89 or 93, no 91, so I'll still use it, but it would be nice to take full advantage of it.
I don't race, I just want it to be a little more fun when I have the opportunity to do a little spirited driving. You know, pull a little harder out of the turns, that kind of thing. It sounds like the FP setup will work nicely for me. Thanks for the feedback.
It looks like (based on skimming through the thread) the codes for shutting off that annoying in cabin engine noise and setting the H/U to "no clipping, line level out" mode have been found, but I don't see them in any of the collections.
Will someone point to them, please?
I'm not surprised that aftermarket tunes would have greater yields than any performance tune from the factory, and we all know why. The question is, if all you want it for is more get up and go for a daily driver that will never see the track and you've only got 4,000 miles on your car, will...
Not yet. Only mods so far are speakers. Don't see those affecting the nannies.
Although, now that I think about it, the H/U recently started acting up. It is sometimes completely unresponsive to the controls, shows as being off, but the FM radio is playing. Doesn't seem like one could...
I only have 1500 miles on the car and have never done a burnout. If it were the tires causing the problem, shouldn't the electronics still sense the wheelspin and close the throttle/apply braking force to the rear tires, whatever is appropriate to get things back under control?
If I want the...
Twice now I've pulled out briskly onto a busy road and the car has spun out. When I say "briskly" I mean just that. A little bit of a hurry, but not putting the pedal to the floor. Both times road conditions were good. I have summer tires (performance pack) but it wasn't cold either day...
The problem with this theory is that if they split the signal in the door, they'd have to run an extra set of wires back out of the door to bring the tweeter signal to the pillar. What you experienced works just as well if the split is behind the kick panel or under the dash.
I get a laugh out of it in my wife's car. The maps are really old and there has been a lot of development in our area, so half the time it shows us driving across open fields until we get back to a section of road it recognizes.
Did you notice if the assembly looked like it could be repositioned? I like lumbar support, but I'm tall enough that it hits too low for me to really make use of it. I'd love to shift it upwards a couple of inches.
