you're right. yesterday I used the administrator key thinking the key might have been the issue with the chiming. Ok, that's resolved.
thanks to all for their input.
I use S+ all the time. what the screen has always said was Normal, Sport +, and Snow/Rain. I just got off the phone with me son who uses the car periodically and he confirmed he never saw the Track mode either. Guess it's just those software gremlins. What happened to the days of my '69 Firebird...
prior to today the track logo- looks like a helmet- never appeared on the screen, and since it's an EB and I'm 71 never was an issue, getting to old to burn rubber. Just weird that after 10 months it showed up.
About a week ago when I either entered or left my car there was a chiming sound as if headlights or something else was left one, but there was no message on the screen. I checked things including the manual but couldn't find anything so got busy and ignored it. today when I used the car(first...
i got the shaft and ball from sickspeed.com. they didn't have the shaft for the mustang on their website so I emailed them and they created an ebay item which I purchased. the screw on top of the shaft is 12x 1.25 so not sure if you have to drill out the knob you purchased. It is a push down to...
manual trim replacement
the post of mine in is the manual plate and boot, just the way it comes from the factory. i have the redline trim on the boot as it matches the interior.
some people replace the boot with a new leather one but that's a lot more work and expense, not sure it's worth it...
i replaced mine with a new shaft and custom red knob(auto pattern etched on the top). Total cost from Sickspeed was $71.00. Install was less than 1/2 hour.
I also replaced the auto trim bezel with the manual one for another $70.
I would think after spending $150 you can expect to get a product that doesn't look like it was used. I'd contact them and ask for the knob to be replaced.
