Hey everyone!
I have an 18 GT with a 10Speed
I would like to boost my car.
Sentrifical is not an option for me because I like low end torque.
What would be best
VMP
Edelbrock
Or Whipple...

thanx in advance

I wouldn't discount centris "lack of low end torque" with the A10. Unless you plan on racing in 10th gear at 1500rpm, the auto will just about instantly place you at peak torque any given time. That's the beauty of having a modern auto with so many gears, you're always in the right gear and have great torque multiplication from steep gears.

Out of all those you mentioned, I prefer the Whipple but I'm partial to twin screws. You won't be disappointed with any of the other solutions you mentioned.

If no centri, go Whipple. See Beefcake for the best deals.

Never thought of it that way, I’m a mood in the supercharger gam. So what would be a good centri option?

Choice depends on your goals, budget and how you use the car. I prefer TVS superchargers like VMP and Edelbrock. The GT500 and ZL1 both use TVS systems. Excellent low end torque and NVH characteristics.

Terry at Beefcake can advise you based on what you want to accomplish.

I have a 800+ rwhp whipple 04 cobra and was pretty much terrified of doing a centuri blower on my 18 because I didn’t want her to be a dog on the low end, but i wanted something different than my 04. With the a10 car almost never sees below 6500 rpm at wot because with drops gears and maintains rpm on shifts from a roll, and I’ve pulled 1.6 60’s on an unprepped street with my et street ss (dragy).

I am not knocking any other option one bit, but for the price a Paxton/vortech is a great option.
On the street it ALWAYS hooks, drives like stock, and on pump gas and torco mine went 9.90 @144 last time out and shes got more in her.
Considering I want to go quite a bit faster, if I were to do it all over again I would have gone with a midnight twin kit or possibly the new big whipple, but that’s to meet MY goals.

My suggestion would be to think about where you REALLY want the car ultimately to be (smog legal, pump gas with or w/o additives, e85, cost of maintenance and your ability to turn a wrench, be able to beat a specific car on the freeway, or a specific ET goal) and see who’s doing it with what FI. Truth be told damn near all FI setups can run in the low 10s on pump gas, and they all are pretty damn reliable, and that seems to be most people’s goals.

I wouldn’t worry too much about low end torque with 10 speed you’re always going to be at peak rpm all the time. On a 10 speed automatic I would go with a centrifugal or turbo

I’m currently researching the ESS Tuning setup.
Seems like a great kit for the price!

Procharger P1X is what I'm installing. I didn't want a Whipple because my car would just go up in smoke at the light. (A10 & 3.55's) P1X will allow a normal launch, then lay on the power and hold it there.
