Drove my 2nd HPDE event on 5/17. Track was Thompson International Speedway an 11 turn 1.7 mile course. Weather was cloudy and 68 degrees. This was my first event on a warm dry track. First session 4:40. Cars performance is incredible with no Limp Mode. 5:40 second session, I started last...
OK tech owners I had my first HPDE yesterday at Thompson Motorsport Park in Thompson CT. The track is 1.7 miles with 11 turns. My car experienced no limp mode. Don't get to excited until I tell you the track conditions. First there were showers and the temp was 40 degrees. My first run was 19...
I noticed some coolant on the ground the other day. Found out that it was dripping out from the back of the belly pan. Took it to the dealer yesterday and they found the radiator leaking on the drivers side bottom. 2-3 days for them to get a new one. My car has 500 miles on it. Note that my...
My GT350 has a slow coolant leak. Today I had the car idling for about 10 minutes in the driveway and when I backed up I noticed some fluid on the ground. Upon inspection it looked like coolant. Looked under the car and could see a slow drip coming from the rear of the belly pan on the drivers...
I'm having XPEL installed on my hood, bumper and fenders soon. My installer told me he would not be going over the stripes but just up to the edge of the stripe. Has anyone had it installed in this fashion?
I placed an order with my dealer on March 19, 2015. I have a contract and a deposit but still do not have a build date or vin number. Is there anyone else who has been waiting this long?
Has anyone ever ordered a car cover from Ford? I still have the chance to add it to my order but wondering if an aftermarket cover might be a better choice.
When placing my order for a GT350 my Ford dealer saw a line that stated front license plate bracket delete. He was not sure if the factory would be installing the bracket or the dealer so I told him I did not want the bracket and to check the box. For those of you who do not want the plate...
I was just reading the April issue of Automobile magazine and noticed this quote from Dave Pericak about the GT350R. "Resonators weren't required to make it go, so it has a very sharp, distinct exhaust note." I think we will all agree that he is talking about that big resonator box that is found...
So little is known about the flat crank 5.2 VOODOO engine. Is it possible that it will be a fuel hog and be subject to the gas guzzler tax? What do you think?
Anyone know how the GT350 track pack oil, transmission and differential coolers will operate? Looks like the only things the technology pack does not have and the track pack does are these coolers and the strut tower brace. I wonder if the coolers will really be needed for HPDE events?
Autoblog has stated that the color of the GT350R at the Detroit auto show is Liquid Blue. They also stated that it will not be available on either of the GT350's. So why did Ford debut the car in this color? This Liquid Blue looks very close to the Guardsman Blue used on the early Daytona Coupe...
I don't know about you guys but I am tired of spending a lot of time and money getting my cars set up for the road course. With all the hype Ford has given the GT350 about being a true road course beast I hope we will finally have a car that we can use with no further modifications. What do you...
Many owners of S197 Mustangs are very aware of the paint bubbling problem on the aluminum hoods. Some think that it is caused by corrosion due to the aluminum being a dissimilar metal. Do you think Ford will address this problem with the aluminum hood and fenders of the GT350? I would hate to...
Does anyone know what the GT350's variable loading exhaust valve is all about? I have read that it is some type of electric controlled exhaust unit. The Boss 302 has an electric valve that sends the exhaust to side pipes. Is this what Ford is talking about for the GT350?
We all know if we had bought a 1965 GT350 or GT350R when released and held onto them they would be worth quite a bit of money today. What do you think the investment potential is going to be for the new GT350, GT350R and GT350S?? Will history repeat itself??
