I recently retired and moved from western Washington to Southern Arizona. Yesterday I loaded my PD tune V1.2 and hit the roads (in Mexico of course)to test performance. Without trying I was hitting 23 lbs. of boost and 309HP. After several hard pulls over an hour and speeds beyond 100mph...
Granted I'm a dyed in the wool gearhead going back to the late 70's. But you put a tire on a wheel and a wheel has a rim. Why do people call wheels 'rims"??
I finally had a chance to put my IC thru it’s paces today. 9 hrs of driving in 85 degree weather, several hard pulls many uphill to 100 mph +. No more than 22 degree difference between ambient temp and intake temp with boost pressures up to 24 psi.
I'll be storing my Mustang for extended periods of time and would like to know (tried search) which route is better, disconnecting battery or using a battery maintainer.
Ok, search isn’t helping much. I need a set of some decent road track tires that won’t break the bank and will work with a modified suspension and stiffened chassis. I’ll be pushing the car hard in 70-90 degree temps 4-6 times a year. These will be a track only set.
I'm retiring soon and will have all the time I want to AutoX and run road courses. Can somone look at my signature and tell me what SCCA class I would be in?
I can give 2 thumbs up for Shelby Auctions on Ebay. I bought a set of new take-off Brembo 6 piston performance pack break kit for $370 and $65 for shipping. No issues at all and they werepacked very well. Rotors in one box and the calipers in another all well wrapped with bubble wrap.
Can anyone talk me out of buying the PS4S? I’ll be doing road course track days about 6 times a year and a lot of Arizona highways and don’t want to have a set of dedicated track wheels and tires.
I've bought a set of calipers from Shelby Auctions and would like to have them powdercoated, does anyone know if they need to be disassembled for the powdercoating process?
Well I turn 60 next Tuesday and need to give myself a birthday present. Just can't decide between the 6 piston Ford performance front brake kit or a custom dyno tune (PD) with an Accessport. I want the brakes before tracking it and I need the tune to support my mods.
If you haven’t dyno’d don’t post. Has any one done the FP camshaft swap and Dyno tested for results? My speed shop owner who specializes in Mustangs and Vettes is trying to talk me into it.
OK, I'm done for now with the suspension and steering mods and now it's time for a Cobb Accessport and then a custom tune. I bought my car very little used (13K) but it did have some upgrades like the MagnaFlow exhaust. On Cobbs website there is a warning about: Warning! Installation of this...

Has anyone installed these and found a noticeable difference in handling? I've done a lot of IRS upgrades $$$$ and want to know if these are worth the cost vrs performance factor.
