I got caught up watching a bunch of engine build and swapping videos which just fueled my already active daydreaming sessions. After seeing vid after vid of people doing budget junkyard Godzilla builds, and pulling 600+ HP & TQ on a dyno with little more than a cam and long tube headers, I...
For those who are actually familiar with this particular Shelby iteration (and the GT-E which was identically equipped but available directly from Shelby rather than exclusive to Hertz), about 2 years ago I began my Shelby tribute build with the purchase of the GT-H hood and rocker panels. I was...
This is actually for the S197 cars, but I'm hoping someone here has a good part number reference to look up what I have and positively identify what car these springs are for. I searched Google and checked other forums but as of yet have not been able to find an exact match for the number on the...
With as many cars as I've owned over the years, I'm no stranger to water pumps failing, however, this was a 1st for me. In the past, I always had some warning like water leaking from the seep hole, bearing noise, or a gradual loss of coolant even though there was no leak in the radiator. That...
I was one of many affected by hurricane Helene in Florida. During the cleanup in my garage, I came across boxes of old records, AKA vinyl, aka LP albums. Some of them were my Dad's and are very old, dating back as far as the early '50s. Some of them were from my youth in the '70s and '80s.
The...
I noticed something weird this morning. I have a stick style tire pressure gauge that I have used regularly for years. It's a cheap gauge so I always accepted that it may not be dead on accurate, but I also assumed it would at least be consistent, meaning if it was off by 2 psi, I figured it...
Hey everyone, while on a road trip a few weeks ago a careless BMW driver sideswiped my car and I'm in need of a good quality shop to handle the repairs. I live about an hour north of Tampa, a town called Hudson.
I will admit to being very particular when it comes to paint work, as I'm sure a...
An incident on the road last night left me driving on my space saver spare and I have a 300 mile drive to get home which I'd rather not do on the spare. Once I get home I'll be dealing the overall repair issues including the broken wheel, but for right now I just a wheel to put on the car to...
Please educate me on this....
Has anyone ever tried, or know if it's even possible, to swap the CMCV sensors from a 2015 manifold to a 2018 manifold to install in a 2015 car? I know it's probably not a bolt on, but could it be modded to make it work?
The reason I ask is a few months ago my...
As I mentioned in a different thread, I've acquired a set of the LE louvered quarter windows and matching chrome door window trim. I had planned to paint the chrome with trim black, however every paint shop I've asked for tips or suggestions on the best way to go about painting the chrome to...
I've wanted one of these hoods for a few years, but due to work, finances, and other projects taking priority, the time never seemed right. Well, back in March I finally decided it was time to pull the trigger and I ordered one. After 6 weeks with no word on a shipping date, I called the vendor...
Although the stock cat-back exhaust on the GT is 2.5", the mid-pipes between the cats and the cat-back connection is only 2.25'. There's also some pinch welds along those pipes that make me suspect the inner diameter at some spots may be closer to that of a 2" pipe.
I already have a 3" cat-back...
Hey guys, my nephew just bought his 1st Mustang, a 2015 GT with MT82 trans and 46k miles. The car has a JLT intake, but no knowledge of any other mods. The test drive was fine, as was the drive home, but 5 minutes later the cel came on. A borrowed code reader returned these 3 codes, although the...
I've had Shelby Razors on my car a little over a year, and I've never been completely satisfied with how the Gunmetal color on the spokes looks against the Magnetic Metallic grey of the car, so I'm thinking it's time for a change.
This pic shows the spokes more silver than they look in person...
My current rims are 20x9/10 staggered. I got the 9" width for the front because the 10" stated in the description it only fit the rear, but I really like the look of filling up the wheel well with the widest tire that will fit so I went with the 10" rim for the rear instead of a 9" square setup...
According to their website (http://www.motostorm.com/custom-paint-coatings.html) they created the Hyperblack paint process that was originally only available to wheel manufacturers, but are selling it to the public now.
I'm actually more interested in their Hypersilver, and nanoclear. Again...
Heading to the store yesterday, I noticed that tell tale rapid blinking that indicates one of my turn signal bulbs isn't working, only it was happening on both sides. Having been through this with one of the taillights on my previous 2015, I'm well aware of the replacement cost of those units...
These are from a 2019 GT350. I searched high and low to find a set for my GT that included the actuators and the connecting harnesses plus still had a usable amount of exhaust pipe. Most of the mufflers I saw for sale had everything stripped off and the pipes were cut within an inch of the...

I came across this in one of my random searches just killing time;
https://www.kengrodyfordorangecounty.com/inventory/new-2019-ford-mustang-shelby-gt-h-rwd-2dr-car-1fa6p8cf3k5158087
I've long held the opinion that the Shelby GT was just an overpriced marketing tool, slapping some FRPP parts on...
