My mechanic let me know of a another, less modded than my car Mustang Ecoboost owner that went full E85. Local tuner got 430 rwhp from his car. This tuner is confident in this power level because E85 creates no engine knock and pulls no timing, so no pre-detonation. My mechanic also answered my...
Because of the crappy 91 octane fuel in California, I just upgraded to an E30 tune from Tune +. Adam recommended I try it, as at WOT my car was pulling five degrees of timing! I am half way through my first full tank of E30, and my car has never ran better. This even includes at idle. WOT pulls...
My latest WOT datalog showed charge air temps about around a 20 degrees over ambient. I currently have the CP-E Delta Core IC. Is this an acceptable CAT above ambient? Or should I consider a larger IC? Keep in mind I live in Southern CA, and ambient temps will exceed 100 degrees for several...
Is their any advantage to installing a large intercooler like the ATM, ETS, CPE, etc., for a modded (see mods below) and tuned car with the stock turbo charger? Thanks in advance for your replies.
I just had a 3 inch custom catback installed. I wish I had a picture of the
design, but a Magnaflow muffle replaces the factory resonator, then a y-pipe splits into two 2.25. pipes with custom tips. I like the deeper tone at idle. It's louder thru the rev range, but it's refined. Performance...
My next choice of mods is either a 3 inch catback exhaust or light weight aluminum drive shaft. Price is near identical for both. I ask for suggestions because I don't know if a 3 inch catback exhaust really helps at my current mod level. I already know the advantages of a light weight drive...
Does anyone have a MRT O/R downpipe? It's T-304 stainless steel and is inexpensive ($299) compared to other name brand O/R DPs. I mean, the prices of many of these DPs seems crazy. Some cost as much as an aftermarket intercooler!
Spun my wheels looking for sound clips. So, anyone with a O/R downpipe with stock exhaust? I'd like your thoughts on the sound. I'm not going with an aftermarket catback until the horsepower mods are done. Thanks in advance for any feedback.
