I just bought a 2017 R for $5K over as a reference. Means I get the Track attack twice lol.
Market is still strong and being in CA I'd say it's a good market. Start on the higher side and see what kind of offers you get and go from there.
I just bought a blue one for $5K over with a decent trade offer. Great feeling to finally have the deal after shopping around for months! I inquired on the yellow one, but I just can't live with yellow.
Congrats on your R!!
Cheers!!
Well, since you put it in that perspective, I'll not only say "NO" but "hell NO"!!"
The R is an awesome car, but you still have to pay fair market (or maybe just a little over if you gotta have it) in order for it to work, if the # is ridiculous then it shouldn't even be a consideration...
That was listed 2 weeks ago... I think you're late to the game. Why not start calling around if you really want an R? I must have called 30 dealers. It's hard to have one just land in your lap from a very public posting of what appears to be a good price IMO.
Another case of Actual market price VS perceived higher selling price the seller thinks it's worth. I'm not surprised. If the seller wants to move it, he'll need to adjust his price to market or hold it.
Lots of dealers are out of touch, hoping for that $20K or even now $10K ADM. Don't...
I don't think a lot of guys are really driving their R's but treating them more as weekend cars or collector cars, hence the mileage isn't there to check on. Most of the used ones I've seen for sale that are at least a year old have less than 1K miles on them, with a few I've seen at around 2K...
My local dealers still have $10K ADM's on regular GT350's. One has 4. I bought mine for $2K under MSRP at a local dealer. They can ask anything they want, but reality is that's not the market.
Can they sell one with an ADM to an uneducated buyer or someone that "has to have it now"? I...
$5K over is around if you search hard enough.. just keep an eye on the ones that are sitting with high ADM's, they come to their senses towards the end of the month and realize it's time to move it. I got a call on a Lightning blue yesterday for $5K over if I want it. I know of a few others I...
I think I'd go at $54K.. With tax savings it would work I think. But I'm still reluctant because I have had to think whether it's worth it in the long run to me.
$68K +$5KADM = $73K. Trade value currently $52K, so that's an extra $21,000+ for the upgrade (And again, my car is essentially...
Anyone get a chance to check out the GT350 book that the dealers are getting? I'm wondering if it's just a re-hash of material and pics that are already out there or if this is all new material?
The mugs look great also, I would assume this is something that will be available in the Ford...
This isn't anything rare now days! And I can't believe this dealer has just sat that R outside for that long! I've seen kids crawl all over GT350's in the showroom, I could only imagine one that is outside with no supervision! I'd go over this with a magnifying glass to make sure it hasn't...
Had a dealer call me and offer me $5K over on a Lightning blue R that I had been watching.. they are willing to offer $52K on my 2017 sight unseen (about 400 miles on it, loaded 2017 w/electronics package).
Thing is, I am not sure I really care right now to get rid of my GT350 and pay the...
To the OP, I feel the same way about new cars and car shows... You have fully restored beauties, and the guy that just bought his car last week and waxed it competing for a trophy! I have never understood this.
Now I will go to shows such as mustang meets, etc., but that's more to socialize...
Now that's some speculation right there. I don't think Ford would ever say "Never again" on a FPC.. Because you don't know what the future will bring.
On a side note, this would certainly help the prices of non-R's if they indeed did say this.
