  1. Upgrading P1X to…

Well said. And as you know I’m not here trying to make monster power. My buddy has a Gen5 on his 2016 and even though it’s nice I wasn’t blown out of the water by it. Again, we had the full day of swapping drivers and cars and even though we did a lot of ā€œI like this betterā€ I just wasn’t 100%...

That’s a good point. And, yes, VMP is costly in comparison to Whipple for what you get. Would you know if the Gen6 is coming to the S550 whelm?

Funny enough I was thinking of the Odin. On a couple past builds, I owned PD blowers - owned a Whipple on a ā€˜06 and a Roush on my 2011. Both had a 2.3L rotor packs (TVS was punchier) which definitely had the umph down low but they both fell on their face up top and I’m kind of ā€˜scared’ if going...

I have to agree. But no joke, seeing your (80FoxCoupe) 11xxwhp dyno graph on a D1X is making me desire this blower even more so. Now I wonder if it's easier to sell my P1X and buy a D1X or just send mine in for $1998.

Do you know if it plays well around the ~850w mark (for now)?
  6. Upgrading P1X to…

Completely agreed. I was pondering the idea of cams in the past but after two well-known tuners said don’t unless I was commit to go past 1000w I decided to ā€˜rethink’ my goals. Which is a b*tch. I bought my P1X when I lived in California when I really wanted a D1X but CARB was hovering around...

Appreciate that, and I agree with various points you have made. Not new to the game but new to idea of seeing 1000w - again, one day, with the notion of being 850-900w most of the time. I just want to see that 1000w on a dyno pull and then be good. Mission accomplished. Not so much that I want...
  8. Upgrading P1X to…

Yeah I’m not interested in doing head work, but I have the manifold, throttle body, and full exhaust as you mentioned. I am also not interested in revving out the car to the moon; 7500rpm on average unless I’m running out of gear. I like drag racing but I am not a dedicated drag car, but like...

    Hahahah. Nice
  10. Upgrading P1X to…

OH, so you were overspinning the D1x
  11. Upgrading P1X to…

Cool cool. Prochargers calculator shows you right at 65k @ 8,000rpm. I'm still VERY impressed even if you were right at max RPM.
  12. Upgrading P1X to…

With the 8" Procharger balancer adaptor?
  13. Upgrading P1X to…

Really!! 😮😮😮 Now that's what I am talking about. I goal is actually UNDER this. What was your pulley setup? This is making me look towards a D1X more so now.
  14. Upgrading P1X to…

    That’s pretty darn good with a P1SC
  15. Upgrading P1X to…

I want to say the most I’ve seen (through years of research) was 920w… but it was 7-8k rpms over max rpm, Gen3 and I believe cams were also added. Not discrediting 920w since that’s a lot of power from the P1X but it’s no 1000w.

    I find that hard to believe… šŸ˜…

    why am I hearing otherwise?
  18. Upgrading P1X to…

    I appreciate it!
  19. Upgrading P1X to…

Hi all, I’m ready to start over with my build in hopes of fixing something’s (trying to find reasons for my knock) and cleaning up the bay. I DO have plans for this car with the end goals to be south of 1000w. I do plan on purchasing an Aluminator or having my current engine forged to be able...
