That part is now taken care of.
Same with the weak timing down low as I am now with Wengerd Tuning. The original guy who tuned my car was local and quote “I’ve used the same timing curve since the dawn of the Coyote.” <— was probably accurate 😂
You’re right, I should agree. Just others have reported otherwise which leaves me with a disconnect.
How soft was the timing within this range? My 724w dyno had impressive numbers for pump but it was a turd. Once I got the car back and looked at the logs I was under 13 degrees of timing until...
Ok I'm not too new to this, but I can't see a D1X being weaker than a P1X unless I completely lug the blower. Come on now. Lol
I've have various power adders throughout the years on many MANY cars, and obviously anything has it's ups and downs - seen more in turbo cars, but I cannot see the D1X...
You're right. Come early March I'll have the time to add on the pulley and finish my fuel system (as well as adding on other items). I am just looking for a 'fun & angry' streetcar; it's even worse when it's your hobby, I have the money to upgrade to a D1X, and I have friends with...
Thank you for pulling this thread back to the original topic. Still had quality discussions but yes back to the original question:
Would I need to upgrade my P1X to a D1X (or go bigger) for a solid 850-900w everyday street car with the abilities of pulleying down, loading a more aggressive tune...
You’re right. I have a spicier pulley already just haven’t added it on. It’s a Griptec 3.25” (again I have a passenger mounted version) which shows at 7800rpms I’ll be slightly over spinning which is okay by me, I just don’t want to over spin it excessively.
Yep!
When I had my manual 2011 Mustang GT with a Roush and 3.73’s my buddy would comment how amazing it felt (over dramatic) in the butt dyno against his manual 2011 Mustang GT with 3.55’s and a V3 Vortech. To me his car felt weak… but both cars dynoed low to mid-600’s and when we did some...
I agree with the ‘theory vs reality’ statement. I wouldn’t say my car is slow either or has a lack of torque with the 3.73s but it’s all perspective I suppose.
Now let’s see some racing!
procharger vs… turbo?
It really didn’t seem like the ESS systems are “that much cheaper” nowadays. I think they got their name out there enough that now the pricing has leveled among other supercharger (centri) manufacturers. At least when I add one of their G3-series (x or the larger R) almost bare -no fuel/bov-...
I want to agree.
Although, earlier, I had a strange conversation with ESS where they threw out the idea of a partial sponsorship in exchange of information/data between their kit vs Procharger and asked me “what am I looking to pay.”
Here’s how the conversation went…
I suppose “proven” is...
