  1. Traction issues (AGAIN) after storing tires indoors

I have even better news ... I just tested Wengerd's less aggressive tune with the standard timing ramp up and knock strategy ... dead hook! I think I am feeling mild tramlining so I have to get used to that again. It's always a shocker to me switching tires between seasons 😅 Anyway, yes you...
  2. Traction issues (AGAIN) after storing tires indoors

UPDATE -- i reloaded the Lund tune and did almost 10 pulls from 3rd gear because I am a mad scientist. DEAD HOOKED. Same exact road, same day, only about an hour or two apart. Car also feels slower now 😂 This definitively proves the Wengerd tune is putting down more power at least on the...
  3. Traction issues (AGAIN) after storing tires indoors

I probably put about 50 miles on them since reinstalling them. And I've also spun the rears out quite a bit so that top layer should have been off already haha. Even on rims you would completely deflate them, or just partially?
  4. Traction issues (AGAIN) after storing tires indoors

That is very true! I don't know how the car will react at redline when all the power is there and that scares me if I'm being quite honest. I've tested these tires in 2nd gear and was borderline holding traction all the way up until near redline when I could tell it probably wasn't going to hold...
  5. Traction issues (AGAIN) after storing tires indoors

Yeah these tires are very impressive. Sometimes I wish I was stock again just so I wouldn't have these traction issues! Well, I guess the next thing I could try (sadly) is to load back my old Lund tune and see if I still have traction issues. I have a less aggressive Wengerd tune as well but I...
  6. Traction issues (AGAIN) after storing tires indoors

I made a previous post about winter tires for 700whp setup, will update with a link. ( https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/whipple-in-cooler-temps-any-tires-that-can-handle-roll-racing.192091/ ) In that thread, I reported about going to Michelin AS4 in 315/35/20 and I could hook 3rd gear...
  7. Tramlining concern?

My set up is in sig. I rarely notice tramlining. Car is aligned to GT specs, with staggered PS4S tires, aftermarket springs and struts, and steeda stop the hop kit. Only time I notice tramlining is under heavy throttle with an obvious imperfection to the road.
  8. 10r80 harsh downshift after tune

+1, I have been on Wengerd for a few months now and the car is finally predictable with throttle inputs. The shifts are buttery smooth. Best part of all is the car is consistently fast. The other tuner I had, my 60-130 was all over the place due to a few factors. (Could be 6 flat one run, low 7s...
  9. Sport Mode and Track Mode

I've seen through several sources that Sport and Track mode map the Throttle exactly the same, at least for the 3rd gen. When I asked my tuner to give me Track mode when shifter is in S, he told me that's fine, but as an FYI he can't distinguish between Sport and Track because they are bound...
  10. Drag mode Traction Control off question

I think at this point you're arguing just to argue. To reiterate: I have tested EVERY permutation of the Traction Control/Stability Control system offered: 1. Traction Control ON 2. Traction Control OFF 3. AdvanceTrac SPORT 4. AdvanceTrac OFF For modes 1, 2, and 3, I have observed the...
  11. Drag mode Traction Control off question

Here is a datalog with Traction Control Off Mode, several WOT pulls still showing Torque Source Code 2 and ETC_ACT dipping I encountered this issue years ago when I was stock but on a Lund Tune. I *only* drove around with Traction Control Off at the time, and even mentioned in the thread that...
  12. Drag mode Traction Control off question

Haha - I KNEW this was going to be mentioned so I had edited what I put before. I will see if I can find a datalog where the mode is Traction Control Off.
  13. Drag mode Traction Control off question

Done. ETC_ACT drops to about 45%, PEDAL is 100%, Torque Source is 2 (Traction Control / Collision Mitigation By Braking). Run was done in AdvanceTrac Sport Mode (double tap Traction Control button). Edit: I will beat to the punch because I know it will be pointed out that this is AdvanceTrac...
  14. Drag mode Traction Control off question

I know it depends on the tune, tires, suspension, and hp/tq as to how advancetrac will function. Did you datalog to confirm you aren't seeing partial throttle closure or showing any torque codes? Anyway, in my particular situation I was seeing AdvanceTrac engage during shifts. Specifically...
  15. Drag mode Traction Control off question

AdvanceTrac will absolutely engage in straight line pulls. I've datalogged this countless times and caught the indicator light for AT illuminating during several pulls. The problem is, you intend to drag race in a straight line, but the computer thinks you're about to no longer go in a straight...
  16. Cat delete - how loud is it really?

I have ARH full exhaust, catless but they have mufflers. I've heard my car being driven away down the street and it "sounds loud" while also "not being loud". It's hard for me to explain lol, it's like the sound of a loud car but you dialed the volume down a bit. But when you're actually in the...
  17. Will a 325 width rear fit on GT500 CF Rims?

    Why dangerous up front?
  18. Will a 325 width rear fit on GT500 CF Rims?

I know, I was just rambling about why I run a taller tire too 🙂 I've only put down about 700whp, we have completely different needs. You need way more tire than me 😁
  19. Will a 325 width rear fit on GT500 CF Rims?

I have as much tire as possible for my setup. Literally going from a 275/35/20 to 275/40/20 will scrape my front fender. I love how the car looks, it's not slammed but it's tight. And yes, because I don't want to run an R compound the taller tire works for my needs. Now admittedly, perhaps I...
  20. 265/40 R20 and 305/35 R20 on 2015+ GT?? Any experience?

I've got 275/35/20 and 315/35/20 with about 1" drop and it fits no rubbing. I have progressive springs and the car is more than comfortable for me, but that's just my own feelings.
