I know all mustangs have LSD, but if you've driven cars with lesser LSD's you'd know they will often act as an open diff; i have LSD in both my vehicles, but i haven't been happy with the lesser LSD's, i was hoping the torsion would be more aggressive than most lsd's.
the strut tower brace no...
I was talking about enjoying the manual trans in daily life, not the suspension. the only real part of the PP that i'd enjoy daily is the LSD.
Yes, i am a hero fighting for more manuals because it's a dying breed and if someone doesn't fight then they will go extinct; why is the underdog...
on the '14 the brembos can be had ala cart and i haven't not heard ford say they won't have the brembos on the automatic, but as i said before, most brake upgrades won't make the stopping distance any shorter, they're for better cooling so they don't fade after repeated stops, like on a track...
As i said earlier, i am being general as i don't know you (or anyone on this forum) and you don't know me. so what side of the 95%/5% you fall into, i'm not commenting on, but it's clear where the majority fall.
There is however a difference in involvement and control; one that a driving...
there it is, right there; you've hit it. There is a big difference between a car enthusiast and a driving enthusiast.
car enthusiasts are enthusiastic about their car. driving enthusiasts are enthusiastic about driving, see the difference?
It's not about manliness as you auto guys have beat over the head (and no manual lover has brought up) 90% of manual transmission drivers can't drive their way out of a wet paper bag. so regardless of transmission choice, I assume you fall into the vast vast majority of drivers, not the small few.
It doesn't, nor have i said it did, but i asked why automatic guys want the pp so badly and your answer is...
I'm fine with that, that makes sense to me. you're just like those rich 85 year old women who have the money to buy any car she wants, so she buys the top of the line V12 amg and...
i've only seen automatic guys comment on the manly ness, no "manual lover" has said anything about being a manly man, but the automatic guys keep bring it up over and over, do u have a complex about it? because i've said nothing about manliness. I live in a very homosexual area, if it would make...
I never said anything of the such, my bucket of fucks about your car started out empty so there never was one to give. :)
I asked why the automatic people wanted the PP so badly; you can spec your car however you want. I fit the statistical demographic for the GT PP and I can't find anything...
I haven't seen too many new gt3's around yet, but lots of 997 manuals; other than porsche's, exotics don't come to the race track, i've never seen a single lambo or a ferrari out there, at least not at the poor little tracks i go to. there are a fair amount bmw M's, but even an amg merc. is...
90's? naw too computerized, in the late 80's was truly the optimal mix of fuel injected engines with no other nannies. back when we had little weight so we didn't need crazy power and steering wheels that communicated with the front wheels; them were the days...
but i'm not living there, i'm...
Also keep in mind that most brake upgrades don't decrease stopping distances nearly as much as they get rid of heat a lot better for more repeated slamming on of the brakes, like you'd do after 30 laps. Slamming on your brakes 3 times in a row, i doubt you'd see much if any difference between...
Disclaimer: I know a fair amount about cars in general, but little about mustangs specifically.
I can't speak to the quality of that kit, but it does replace the Front Struts and Rear Shocks, as most kits that extensive would. It is nicer to get the springs in struts together like that...
Other than the gears, everything else in the PP seems to be intended for better handling, not straight line performance; why do the automatic guys want the PP so badly?
People who take their car to track days (with corners) are not the people who buy automatics.
Upgrade the shocks/struts with something of quality and I'd bet you'd be happy even if everything else was stock.
Most people don't like the ride on overly sprung cars, they feel too bouncy stiff, but everyone loves the stiffness of ride an overly dampened car provides. Firmer shocks/struts...
I know it might take a little work, but I've been looking at things and I'm hoping I'll be able to run a square setup with all 4 wheels/tires being 305/30/20x10.5, offset TBD and -1º to -2º camber on all 4 corners.
His lack of acknowledgement/understanding of how to rev match indicates to me, that he is one of those who thinks they know how to drive a manual because they can pull away from a stop sign without stalling but doesn't understand driving.
Something that this thread has made me realize is that...
You're so HIP, miSTER.
I like wheels that disappear and blend in, I don't want my wheels to stand out. I want my wheels the same color as my tires.
I think a good flappy paddle could very well be the best compromise to please most and keep one more involved with the car.
There is still penalty regarding involvement and joy for an enthusiast however, there is nothing in the driving world that can put a bigger smile on my face than; getting...
