Absolutely. Lots of guys watching my car right now and contacting me behind the scenes. I've even had phone calls about my experience from other potential customers. Anyway, I've driven my car this entire past week to work with a 30 minute one way commute. I have to say, it is SUPER hard to...
Sweet. Glad to see posts like this. I can confirm the 93 tune feels a LOT better. Drivability is fine to be honest. Is it perfect? No, but it's not bad at all. I'm still trying to get the BDX to datalog properly. Just waiting on a reply from Edelbrock's tuning team now. (I just emailed...
That was my next question. Recommendations on where you guys were going through the firewall. And where you found some room under the dash to mount the box. I have 6ft of line and a 6ft firewire cable to connect the Omega Box to the BDX, which I have mounted next to the radio. I should have...
I just received mine. Hoping to hook it up this week to the Edelbrock. I assume I'll need a hard nylon tube kit, but I'm not sure how well that will stay on the Omega box little mount? Or will soft vacuum lines work? I figure a soft line will cause fluctuations in the readings?
Boost Box shows it was delivered. Anyone have a link to details on the hookup of a boost gauge. I've been told it's on the drivers side rear of the head unit back by the firewall and it's tight. I'm guessing I'll need some sort of 90* elbow, then run a vacuum line through the firewall? If...
Sure hope so. I know the 93 tune feels a lot better.
Question for you guys: When I make the dyno video, I'm going to try to keep the video as short as possible. However, do you think it's worth doing a final pull loaded back on the 91 tune to see what it was putting down on it's first trip...
My definition of a street tire? Something I can leave on the car 100% of the time. Drive it 300+ miles and not have bald tires from the heat alone. Also something I wouldn't be scared to drive in the rain.
Little update. The car is probably slower after the 93 tune was added because of traction. It definitely helped power wise. So that’s positive news. However the belt is looking worse on the inside. Edelbrock said an email was coming about a belt replacement but I have not seen an email yet...
Gotcha... one thing I thought I might mention. IF you are looking at one of the superchargers with a warranty. I was told they go by the mileage on the car. IE if you are already past 36,000 miles... no warranty so you might as well get a more aggressive tune.
Hmmm.... I've had the 93 tune for basically two drives to work. The car is still learning a bit like it did with the 91 tune when I first bought the car. Took about 100 miles before it seemed lined out.
93 octane tune loaded on mine now. I'll try to remember to update this thread as well. Boost logging equipment ordered so I can add that data to the mix. Dyno coming soon. While I hope it's putting down the 620 to the ground, I kinda hope it's not and there will be some extra in it to be...
I haven't met anyone else with Edelbrock in my area. I just ordered a boost box so I can log real boost in the BDX. Once that's all hooked up and working properly I'll schedule dyno time and head to one of the two tracks I have available. Lots of testing to do. What kind of 60ft times were...
