To me, all 3 have very similar front end design language. The headlights, grill shape, and especially lower area treatment with the angular fins.
Question is, who's following who and who did it best?
Not sure if anyone's brought this up before, but the avant-garde front end of the 2018 Mustang looks very similar to the Audi Prologue concept car. Just say'n...
Even the new BMW 8 Series seems to be following the same design trend.
Maybe Ford is really on to something!
We'll see. While it might help the car be more collectable if Ford's FPC V8 goes the way of the dodo bird; if Ford reintroduces a GT350 in MY20 or 21 to sit along side the GT500, I can't see it without the FPC engine. It was and is the distinctive heart of what makes our GT350 a GT350.
My take is that the GT350 goes on hiatus, to allow the GT500 to get all the fanfare. But an improved version of the GT350, with something like a Voodoo_v2.0 FPC, may sit along side the GT500 in the future. As perhaps hinted by the leaked oil chart.
Agreed. The material difference is only a bit more plastic on the R splitter.
My non-R splitter has a few scrapes, but no major damage yet. If it gets too beat up I was thinking of swapping to the R version (love the look), but at the current prices - maybe not.
Yeah, it's fun to talk about, but means almost nothing now.
Time will tell if our GT350 will reach future collector status. But I think it would take something like the electric or other green vehicles killing off the muscle car to see that happen.
Post on Facebook said the numbers are not final.
The 2016 production numbers had several updates before the final numbers were posted. I expect this will be the case for the 2017's as well.
Well, if the question is if one has TWO Rs, that's a no brainer. I'd keep the R I preferred and get a GT500.
As great as the GT350 & R is, having two of basically the same car is not something justifiable for most. While I've always liked Mustangs from afar, the GT350 was the first Mustang to...
^What he said. :ford:
My GT350 isn't going anywhere. Love the car too much. It's the exact color (which I can no longer get) and spec that I wanted. Its been reliable thus far (knocks on wood), paint & build quality is very good and drives like a dream.
Not willing to trade for what's behind...
Short term, I'll bet "no". GT350 prices will go down after the GT500 is released, everyone wants the latest and greatest. Unless the GT500 is ugly or less fun to drive.
Long term, "maybe", but only if the Voodoo proves to be reliable enough over the long haul. Frankly, I think they made too...
No, it does not seem normal. The white and black should be one piece. The edges should be straight.
Maybe your stripes were added aftermarket or maybe the original stripe was damaged and repaired?
When Ford first announced the GT350 and later the GT350R, I had made up my mind that a GT350 Track Pack was what I wanted, and that's what I got.
The R is great, but for my daily use, the GT350 is just about perfect for me. The only time I ever think about an R is when I visit this board and...
I own both a 911 C2S (997) and a Shelby GT350. Love both cars for different reasons, but honestly love my GT350 a bit more. I'm always interested whenever someone pits the Shelby against a Porsche. In this case it's a 911 C4S (991). I'm not surprised by the result.
