I just had my A/C go out on my '16 GT350 too.
I was surprised by how much of the interior was removed in order to swap out the evaporator core. They removed the dash, center counsole, A pillar trim and part of the floor trim too.
I'm just glad they put it all back together flawlessly and the...
I'm sure they did.
This is far from the first time Fords have been staged in such a race. Here's one from over 30 years ago (disregard the 2012 in the title, it's when these Japanese guys subtitled the old video, not the actual date of the race).
Niki Lauda - Mclaren Ford Corsworth F1 race...
Yup, certainly a doable swap to add in the touch screen to a Track Pack. And just as easy to swap Recaros into a Tech Pack, but not as easy to add the extra coolers and transmission of a Track to a Tech.
While I would have liked the touch screen in my '16 Track Pack, I don't miss it one bit...
Yes, I thought they did actually touch.
If the Mustang GT hadn't nudged the GT350R off the track at the last bend, I'm sure the GT350R's lap time would have been even better, by at at least a few tenths, maybe more...
I used Auto Fanatic's youtube video to fix the buzz/rattle in my shifter as well.
However, instead of using window weld in the shift collar housing, I used foam inserts. My concern was that the window weld might make it tough to get the collar off if I ever need to remove things again. Auto...
Just watched from my DVR as well. I enjoy this show, I feel its target audience is more in-line with drivers like me. I'm not a hard core track junkie, so ultimate track test numbers aren't what mean the most to me. Real world driving fun is what matters and that's what these two guys are all...
It's a very interesting car, I'll be following the GT500 very closely.
Highly unlikely that I'd trade my GT350 for it. With 526hp, it's more power than I can use on the streets. Don't really need 700+ hp, plus I'm sure it will be heavier than the 350.
Honestly, I'm more interested in the...
That's strange, my '16 Track Pack (w/ lowly lightweight non-touch screen electronics) reads my text msgs just fine via Bluetooth. Anyway, a moot point since it's all good on your '18 R, enjoy!
Judging by the reactions on this thread, it's obvious the GT500 needs two different versions - a "Drag Pack" and Track Pack. Unlike the GT350's original '15/'16 "Tech Pack" and Track Pack.
Good luck with that.
With the GT350 coming to an end, greedy dealers will be looking to ADMs on this Bullitt for sure. That's just what they do. Really wish Ford would do something to limit this dealer behavior. Probably will need to wait until next year, after the initial hoopla is over, to...
Great pics Chris!
So you traded your non-R DIB for an R DIB? Awesome job finding the same DIB color and black stripe combo. Not easy to do for an R, especially in DIB, as it's one of the discontinued colors.
Yup, it's not only '16 Tech Pack owners who traded. Many R owners on this board were also previous Track Pack owners. Some '16 Track Pack owners may have also wanted the electronics pkg of the '17, I've seen at least one person who did this trade on the Facebook owner's page. There are even some...
Why so many used ones for sale?
Based on what I've seen from this forum, I bet around half of the used market is made up of either '16 Tech Pack owners, who decided they wanted the extra coolers of the Track Pack, so traded in on a '17 or '18. Or GT350 owners who wanted to get the GT350R, and...
