I like the pic of the Ferrari you posted much better than the C8's rear end. In addition, I think these cars also have pretty nice butts. Can't say the same for the C8.
Congrats! Beautiful car!
I also looked at the M2 back in 2016, but it was the GT350 for me and I've never looked back. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I've enjoyed mine!
The C8 certainly has my attention, as I'm sure it does for most sports car enthusiasts. However, the same thing holding me back from a GT500 is holding me back from the C8, no manual trans.
To my eyes, the C8 does look striking but I don't believe it's the most beautiful Corvette ever...
Sadly, it's a "no" to the GT500 for me. No manual trans and its expected weight were already reasons enough for me to stick with my GT350. The price of the Track Pack carbon package (which is what I'd want) plus expected dealer markups, just puts it at a price to where there are other cars...
Check ebay. I see listings for Black, Blue, Red and Yellow. They don't say pre-order, they should be in stock now. I pre-ordered mine a while ago and it was shipped out on June 5th, got it today.
However, the white with blue stripes combo doesn't seem to be out yet.
The reviewer Lauren Fix in the second video, Car Coach Reports, stated she owns a 2015 GT350R and that the 2019 GT350 (non-R) is "a better car".
That's quite a statement.
The new GT500 will have the side fender snakes again. For those GT350 owners who dig that look, I'll bet the new GT500 side snake emblems will be a popular little mod.
Since the mid-engined C8 isn't released yet, a lot of details are not confirmed. However, I've seen several articles speculating that it will use a Tremec DCT.
E.g.

Makes sense, you're probably right.
However, I also read that the new Corvette may share the Tremec DCT, if so, that would help with the volumes. For me, the lack of a manual option isn't an absolute deal breaker, but it certainly is a major drawback and curbs my enthusiasm to where I'll wait a...
Me too! I think it looks awesome.
But every time I think about seriously getting one, I remember that there's no manual stick shift option and my excitement fades again. So I will definitely not be a first year buyer like I was for the GT350. Fingers crossed for a manual option in the future.
I really enjoyed that video, sums up my feelings. Two of my favorite cars, would love to own both, each is so different yet great in its own way. But the Bullitt sure is purrty!
Yeah, not cheap. But compared to the GT Spirit models, I feel the AUTOart models should be worth it, especially given the opening hood, doors, trunk, and the engine & interior details.
How can you resist one in Shadow Black? It's a perfect "mini me". LOL
Not sure if the Autoart models are out yet. From what I can tell, it seems to be a few weeks away. Nice pics of Tipple Yellow w/ Black stripes on Autoart's website:
