I agree it will be a while before we see FI. GT350 with a n/a "voodoo" that if it's true can make 500-550hp, will be very successful. i'd personally like to see Ford do alot more N/A stuff just so you don't have to hear the chevy fanboys constantly talk about how Ford needs FI to make power...
You could do a single and put it at the bottom like is done with the helion single kit and can make 600rwhp no problem. I haven't seen any issues with the turbo coyotes that are out right now. I've got a buddy that has made 738rwhp with a bone stock motor (bigger injectors) on 8lbs of boost...
The big 3 are in competition with each other for power/performance. SVT being N/A would surprise me, if what mr. peabody says as far as nothing bigger than the 5.0 being able to fit. I see the only way Ford being able to compete with chevy in a power/performance standpoint and keep it N/A would...
I've seen plenty of twin turbo and single turbo coyotes that are street driven cars. I don't have the slightest doubt Ford can do a turbo coyote deal as a daily driver.
The block isn't going to be your issue as much as rods and pistons and crank. You look at a 5.4 the block it self will handle as much hp as anyone has been able to make with one, same with the crank. It's the rods and pistons that wont hold up.
My one question that I don't believe has been discussed, is will ford put a real tire on this thing? I'm sick of seeing the 245, I'd like to see a 305 like the camaro. Ford needs to finally put some meat on these cars.
For some reason I think people misunderstand this, can you build a smaller motor to make more power than a bigger motor? Yes you can...max out both combos and no you can't. Sure you can put better heads on a smaller motor than the bigger motor, or you can have a builder that really knows how...
Yeah I forgot to add that, Chaz's rendering isn't the issue, as he did a good job. He is going off of Ford's design, so I shouldn't say I don't like his render so much as I should say if that is what the mustang is going to look like, I don't like what I'm seeing.
Your right we won't convince each other. I've been drag racing for 15 years, where it is the goal to get as much hp as your bank account will allow you to purchase. I'm not new to the hp game and what it takes to make lots of it. We will just agree to disagree.
I had no idea we were talking about Nissan and Porsche, I thought we were talking about Ford. I think you are having a very difficult time with this, so let me simplify this a bit. I'm not saying you can't make 500hp+ with a twin turbo v6. I'm trying to tell you Ford isn't going to put the...
I was talking STOCK dude:confused: Yes it would be maxed out at 500hp if that, bone stock. We aren't talking about built engines, we are talking how it comes from Ford...END OF STORY....NO REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT.
You do realize Ford doesn't build stock engines to handle 900hp don't you?? Once again Ken Block doesn't have a stock engine, try and get that 600hp that he is making with a stock engine and see how well that works out. This isn't rocket science, Ford isn't going to put the internals in a 3.5L...
Ken Blocks motor is far from stock also, so yeah I'd say 500hp on a stock v6 is pretty maxed out. Yates isn't an idiot, he knows like I know and most anyone else knows, and that's that a v6 will never match the power of a v8.
