My Mustang is just an Ecoboost with the 101A package. I called Ford Performance and they said there were no holds or delays noted for my vehicle in their system. Does that mean I am good to go? Who knows!!
Zook527 above says the website won’t update, cars will be in limbo due to a shortage of steering wheels - no specific type of car was stated. Seems to affected all Mustangs but I am assuming that from Zooks527 posts.
Oh believe me, with the issues I have had ordering my car, my vehicle is sitting on the test track with a dummy steering wheel. This is just icing on a crap cake. I am not one of the lucky ones so am fully expecting to be sitting here in limbo waiting looking at fake info on the tracking...
Lovely!!! So now you say the tracking site will just show me fake information because it likely won’t update to reflect delays associated with this Flat Rock issue? Is that the only plant building Mustangs at this time?
I think the cold weather delayed most builds by 4 days or so unless you are a lucky one like some of the folks above. What kind of “notice” did you get - my updates come from the tracking site which should provide you with an estimated delivery date. After the couple of days build delay, my...
The only things I did not do that you mentioned above was find the Blue Oval site and demand that they “show me” they had allocation. So yeah, you got lucky. lol
Lol I did everything possible to not get snookered by the dealer, I stayed on top of things every week asking for an update, and finally someone did their job and got the allocation/ball rolling. If you have any suggestions on how I could have handled this to not get screwed, please share...
I mentioned “allocation” at the ordering time and they acted like it was all A-OK. After pestering them for several months yes indeed it was an allocation issue which they finally fixed at least I got scheduled. And now this BS..... I knew it would not be as easy for me as everyone else because...
Too bad someone wasn’t looking out enough for me in October to go ahead and start my build in warm weather to avoid any cold weather problems. Estimated delivery date now 3/3/19 which means they are taking “only” 19 weeks at best to get me my car....jeez the dealer told me 10-12 weeks at most...
My EDD is 2/21/19. Given the fact that I had to wait nearly 15 weeks to get scheduled for production, my dealer tried their best to make sure transit was going to be scheduled and not take forever as well.
I don’t like the N/A you show above for the estimated delivery date... that would worry me. But as for production date, the dealer gets a deck sheet each week showing what is scheduled and when production will start, but your info above likely will not change until 2/25. Let us know what it...
Update: They said it will be scheduled for production today, production should occur mid-Feb and my Mustang should be ready by the end of March. They will address shipping/transit later on in the process. So, there is still hope...
Yeah, wow okay...so basically this kind of delay is happening to certain dealers but based on other comments, not all of them. And no one can tell us why our particular order is being IGNORED. So a 4-month wait just to get scheduled is already 16 weeks which is at least 2 weeks longer just to...
Yes it is refundable, we did the whole financing terms up front and locked them in. Unless something really crazy happens, I will get my earnest money back if no car. Plus I was under the assumption I would have a vehicle in mid-February!
