I’ve never tried it, but I haven’t welded much aluminum either. Just have to make sure you’re back gassing and have the right tungsten and filler. I’ve heard it welds amazing.

Titanium would’ve cost over twice as much in materials. That was really why I shifted focus to aluminum.

Car has a whipple on 18lbs. The section off the headers is much thicker 11 gauge aluminum just in case.

Materials were $1k. You just have to cut all the pieces to fit and weld it all together lol.

This replaced a Texas speed xpipe, mid pipes and factory active exhaust. That setup was 71.6lbs. The entire aluminum setup is 23lbs.

The aluminum being thicker and less dense actually absorbs a lot of the sound. Definitely not going to call it quiet, but this car isn’t really a cruiser but more of a street bruiser

You can turn the active exhaust option off via forescan in the bcm. Go to IPC "Configuration" Active Exhaust --->Disable Drive modes will still be active just not the exhaust
