Iāve never tried it, but I havenāt welded much aluminum either. Just have to make sure youāre back gassing and have the right tungsten and filler. Iāve heard it welds amazing.
I did it several years ago on my ā19. It was super easy.

The aluminum being thicker and less dense actually absorbs a lot of the sound. Definitely not going to call it quiet, but this car isnāt really a cruiser but more of a street bruiser
You can turn the active exhaust option off via forescan in the bcm.
Go to IPC "Configuration"
Active Exhaust --->Disable
Drive modes will still be active just not the exhaust
