Just got a response back from them....It's pretty much the same but there is "extra ducting" for the car and the splitter needs to be removed.
Crap. lol....
I bought the Diode Dynamics units, but naturally all vids I can find show the install on this taking place on stock Mustangs, not 350s...Has anyone done this and if so, what differences can I expect?
Looking at tackling this on Saturday :ninja:
Agreed TDC...I really should just do it...lol. in relation to the car and it's cost, the 1000 isn't a huge investment at all and will provide piece of mind. Only the warranty becomes the concern at that point.
I have the scoop also. I bought it about 5 months ago. I've never heard a rattle, and I have never seen limp mode in my car. I also haven't taken it to a track. I have the flex tune so I have the nGauge hooked up though I haven't configured it or tried to use Forscan to activate checking trans...
I grew up driving RWD sports cars in the snow too...Not with 500 hp, but the cars were light enough to be somewhat butt pucker-inducing when the roads are slick.
All it took back then were snow tires and some sand bags. lol...
It's not driving in the snow that worries me, its other people...
Not stored, but not driven that much. We don't have any snow (yet), but the temps have been below 40...I also have a lot going on with work, and traveling all over the place. I took it out on Friday to dinner. Temps dipped into the mid 30's on the trip home. It was bone dry and I don't drive...
I think I'm ready for the switch now :)
I've had the tune/intake on the car now for about a month. I ran one full tank that was half full of 91 and 101 race gas. Then I ran it down to the bottom and added 93...I'm about a 1/4 tank now and looking to do E85 on the next fill up. I'm a little...
I have the Pilot Sport 4S tires on mine. I switched about a month ago. I kept the Cup 2s for the inevitable autocross rim set I'll be using next season. I just need to find one more C2 to replace the one that picked up a nail.
So far I love them. I'll be mounting these on the 350 when the...
The drama I speak of is in general, whatever happened to just enjoying the damn thing? I don't need to "not participate" because I think all the doom and gloom is a bit heavy-handed either. In fact I could say the same, like enjoy it or go bitch about it to a Chevy salesman...Most of the time I...
Haven't really fleshed that out. Most of the time it stays off. If I turn it on it shows the usual 4 things: RPM, Speed, IAT and air/fuel.
I got it all installed (along with the Shelby transmission scoop) earlier this week.
When the tank was half full I filled it up with 101 octane race...
I think it's wrong to say not to buy this kind of car used. Why? The vast majority of them out there for sale are low mile, pristine examples. Mostly from owners who bit off more than they could chew and find the car counter-productive to being a daily driver or hoping to capitalize on what they...
Though Vinny, I must say...The quality of the paint work and hydro dip is awesome, I'm a little concerned about the fitment of the CAI. The filter sits too high and it rubs the hood, causing some decent scratches. Can this be remedied?
That's a real bummer...The kit, you'd think, would fit, I know this company builds a good product, and not one I should have to break out a Dremmel to keep my hood from being scratched.
Sending them an email all the same...
I just put the JLT on today. I can hear the usual sucking sound, and overall I like the kit but the filter sits too high and actually impacts the hood. I have scratches now from it. I have done all I could to seat it down better, and I believe it's installed correctly.
Lloyd logo mats and Custom painted JLT CAI with Lund Flex Tune installed today.
Only had time for a little test drive to make sure everything was tight/working. Didn't get on it that much, just a little pull...I'm currently still with a nearly full tank of 91, the car felt a little more...
