I don't usually comment on this type of thread but I think its fair to say that UK used 550 prices are definitely softening now, having previously held on amazingly well since launch. Ecoboost now appears readily available in the £25k area and the GT £30k or less if you look around.
Most of...
I felt the previous generation S197 was ok regarding fit and finish from the ones I have seen. In particular the facelift 5.0 cars from '11 onwards seem good - nice almost ! Flat Rock built as well.
Not sure why some of these new ones seem to be coming through so poor ?
Not sure if they are getting worse but I had a good look round a new dealer demo GT the other day and it was horrendous !
The bumpers in particular were all over the place. Parked next to a Focus RS it looked very poor to be honest.
The driver of the other car didn't judge that they're manoeuvre would cause a collision.
The Mustang driver could have avoided the situation developing had he been showing proper caution upon approach.
Imagine being with an advanced or emergency driving instructor and approaching and...
Everybody is entitled to their opinion.
2 stars is a shit rating for a new car.
I won't be putting my little one in the back of one anytime soon.

Been said so many times .. but they're making the most of it financially while they can. All seems well and good but the approach that Ford took with getting the UK Mustang up and running must have lost them further sales for sure. Intentionally or not they've made the most of initial lack of...
Just my 2p's worth ....
Ford collectively pretty much don't give a shit I'm afraid. I went into my dealer just under a year ago with a deposit cheque in my wallet made out for £1000 and a completed order/reservation/yes I'm interested in a Mustang form or whatever it was supposed to be. You...
I'm no PCP expert .. at all .. but from what I know about the ones I've looked into one of the key points that I see to bear in mind is that you are paying interest on the deferred amount from day one .. i.e. interest on the balloon payment / final value or whatever you want to call it .. the...
In my experience personal loan headline rates are pure fantasy !
Above average credit rating, main property owned outright, second property 50% LTV so good equity, very minimal borrowing credit cards etc. Never been offered anywhere near to the advertised rates !
Up until now I've thought...
Hi there RandyStang !
I had been guessing that your car would have been one of the ones that has already been delivered to your dealers. Obviously not by the looks of things !
If you go GM what would you go for ? New VXR8 ?
Yeah .. when they reduce it by £15k
There's definitely cancelled orders around at list prices. No BS I've been offered two different ones already, 100% physical cars now sitting at the dealers. Not the colours or spec I would want though.
I could see someone paying a couple of...
I think I know what you're saying.
If UK Ford dealers had offered S550 in LHD it wouldn't have sold in any significant numbers at all.
Over time American cars have achieved some sales successes in the UK - but in more recent times this has been very limited. For example Chrysler 300C was...
Ford UK dealer bulletin is currently quoting 9 months for GT ( i.e. V8 ) and 6 months for EcoBoost. ;)
The current feeling seems to be that Ford aren't concerned to speed the process up any further. They're aware that some German marques may take 6 - 9 months from order to delivery for the UK...
Not sure if serious !
I'm a lifelong US car fan and owner here in the UK having been around them from childhood, as well as owning and enjoying several BMW M cars. In the grand scheme of things I just can't see Mustang sales bothering the German brands in UK and rest of Europe. Sorry but the...
Your post sums things up pretty well !
Regarding the 6th gen almost seeming like an old model now - I took a close interest in the original debut which I clearly remember at the end of 2013. Yes I know they weren't available for immediate purchase at that point, but in my mind December 2015...
Guess that's going to be down to the individual dealer. Plus you'll most likely have to be flexible on what you will prepared to accept spec wise. The actual chances of your dealer getting an earlier cancelled order car to match your own exact order specification are likely to be small. Although...
