Clean carfax.
Had a PPI done - no sign of accidents or body damage. I'm not an expert on body damage but I don't see any evidence that panels were replaced or repainted, the paint matches fine. I had a local performance shop do a once over of the underside of the car as well while they were...
Hey thanks for your reply - agree with you at this point. I just talked to steeda and american muscle and got some supplements to my list of things to check: toe link bushings, axle nuts, wheel bearings (again). Other things to check include: IRS subframe/diff alignment, rear swaybar alignment...
I'm slowly losing my mind trying to fix this issue - I've posted some other threads but so far not gotten anywhere.
2017 Mustang GT Base with Manual, 35K miles, acquired approximately 10 days ago. It still has factory bumper to bumper warranty.
Has new Michelin Pilot Sport AS3+ tires.
Has had 3...
Yes - I'm picking the car up in a few hours, I'll bring my gauge and get pressures and then also be able to tell if moving the tires actually did change anything.
I just bought the car exactly a week ago in Oklahoma and drove it to Colorado the same day. The issue was prevalent the first time I gave it a little gas (1 mile from purchasing it), and was prevalent the entire drive home (500 miles) to this point. The selling dealer put these tires on it for...
Not sure what they checked they were not detailed on the phone - I'll check the paperwork when I get it. I did have the car by a performance mechanic for some exhaust work and I mentioned the issue - he did an inspection on the rear wheel bearings specifically and didn't see an issue with them...
So I went to the dealer and they found nothing, aligned the car (again) without my consent and now want $150 for nothing. They think something is wrong with the (new) tires. I made a thread here: https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/havent-had-the-car-1-week-and-already-owe-service-150.141461/
Background: I got a 2017 Mustang GT last week on Friday, has 35K miles (still in bumper to bumper warranty). The selling dealer put new Pilot Sport AS3 tires and did an alignment.
I drove the car 500 miles from Oklahoma back home to Colorado. The entire drive, whenever I let off the throttle...
Are there any other essential suspension upgrades other than the IRS stabilization stuff? I don't really want to lower the car but what about sway bars, strut tower and K member braces - are those going to really do much for a car that is mostly street and maybe 1-2 time a year track?
Cool thanks for your reply - just watched a video on the diff bolts - WTF..
The issue with the stock shifter is that it mounts to the body and has the joint in the shifter linkage (again another ford engineering idea) to manage the flex between engine and shifter at high rpm. The MGW bolts...
I also have stock car - what is the tangible benefit of the stop the hop kit? (like what will it feel like in the road).
Also are there any other basic steeda suspension stuff thats highly recommended?
Haven't heard about the diff bolt upgrade - what does this do?
If doing MGW, no need for the...
Just had an alignment done. rear toe was out of spec, but did not fix issue. Alignment tech could also feel it even at just 30-40mph. It's really bad at 80+. I have new Pilot Sport AS3+ tires and the pressures are all good. 2017 about 35K miles.
I'm going to schedule a dealer appt but they...
