  3. Revved near 8000rpm

I don't mean to be a smartass but the limiter won't do diddly on the overrun.

  7. Emergency advice needed. Clutch gone, I think.

At least the clutch is a straightforward job, what with it being rear wheel drive. Good opportunity to fit a Barton shifter!
  8. Emergency advice needed. Clutch gone, I think.

It's mechanical then, has there been any noises? Whirring, bearing sounds? Also possibly could be something at the top of the pedal where it pushes the master cylinder in, unlikely though. If it's the lever that's failed or the release bearing gone through the pressure plate, it's probably just...
  9. Emergency advice needed. Clutch gone, I think.

Sounds like either the release bearing has gone through the pressure plate or the lever has failed. It could be the slave, what's the fluid level like? If it's empty you might get away with topping it up and pumping the pedal to get some action back just to get it moving. Have a look around the...
  10. V8 in Aberdeenshire?

Ian, I'm 30mins from Aberdeen and have a Magnetic V8 with Mach Solo XV and Velgens. Your more than welcome to have a gander and a run in it if you like but I'm not home for another couple weeks. PM me if you want.
  11. Confused!

Looks like it could be fibreglass packing from the exhaust silencers. Can you see any stuck to the tailpipes?
  12. Resonator delete

I settled on the Solo Mach XV Catback, although it has an x-pipe, it still sounds quite old school muscle car and a lot less raspy than most other systems IMO.
  13. Mustang 5.0 Jump Start - Problem Solved

Yep, something is drawing current for sure. I just left mine laid up for a month and it started no problem, cranking at the usual speed surprisingly. ive had cars with trackers before with no issues, worth checking the boot light isn't staying on.
  14. Mtec 2-piece lightweight brake disc now available & they fit fine!

Great write up as usual Gibbo, I think I'll probably go this route when replacement time comes. How bad are the discs for rusting when left static after washing? Any different from stock?
  15. Underseal at Zeebrugge.

I just got mine 2 months ago and it appears to be no better protected than the early ones. :(
  16. What did you do to your UK S550 Mustang Today

I really fancy getting all of this done, it looks great. If you don't mind me asking how much was it all in? Are they doing an exchange service yet? I'm at the other end of the country.
  17. What did you do to your UK S550 Mustang Today

Thanks for that. Do Wilwood do a standard compatible front disc? I can only see the brake kits?
  18. What did you do to your UK S550 Mustang Today

Enoch, where did you order your pads and Wilwood discs from? Cheers.
  19. Another Hood Vent Story :(

It could well be, mine is coated and I had trouble getting the plates to stick and I'm not convinced the black 5.0 badges have a particularly good hold either.
  20. Seat wear after 2 weeks

As Clarkson stated in his review, I believe they came from a polyurethane cow
